its way to complex. i play only palas since legion so i dont care.
but u have to manage more then 20 skills. and need complex macros and many addons like clique, best weakauras, omnicd etc.
and if you want to play holy pala in high keys and not in causal area like 23 then you have to play much better (and know a lot more) then tank/dps. because holy pala is swiss knife and you will play chess with 1 sec reaction time.
Youâre asking if theyâre fun and not boring, which is entirely subjective⌠as well as what a person considers âtoo manyâ buttons. All of this is subjective.
It has lots of buttons. Very very many buttons. The rework is awesome, but added a lot of potential active skills, many of which are used in the standard build, so there are buttons GALORE.
I find myself not enjoying my Holy Paladin as much as I thought I was going to when switching back to it so I have decided to try out Mistweaver as Iâm looking for one melee and one ranged healer.
Personally I find HPal to be fun right now. Its actually the only healer Iâm running in S2. IMO (subjective) it has just the right amount and type of CDs. Most are not major OP CDs on 2-3 minute CDs, but instead are 45-1min CDs, and you have 3-4 of them depending on build, so you can pop one every 15-20s if needed. And since they vary a bit in what they do, you have some selection in what you want to use.
It does have a fair amount of keys to use, but I still donât know that you need a mmo 12 button mouse for it. Iâm still using a with only 5 side buttons and I use 3 of them, one for Holy Shock, 1 for Cleanse, 1 for BoS. But Iâm an older playing and have been playing with certain keybinds now in WoW since the beginning and muscle memory is hard to change.
As for finding groups, never had an issue as HPal (or any healer for that matter). Are you trying to get into groups that are too high for your ilvl?
Prot Pally I find to be a very fun tank. It is my #2 tank right now. Lots of utility, lots of tools, lots of control. Iâm also a fan of the sword/board style game play, and have been since vanilla (I was the idiot prot warrior leveling as sword/board prot from 10 - 60). But again, thatâs my subjective opinion on fun. I have good friends that find VDH way more fun, but I canât stand playing them.
Same with Ret. Its fun right now. I enjoy playing it. I think I prefer my feral over ret, but then again I love the utility Ret can bring, even just having BoS to help out. Both are very fun imo, but ret does have better numbers overall. It just feels more like âsmash the glowing buttonâ style of game play instead of the feral druid style of maintaining focus and follow a rotation. Which is more fun? Depends on who you ask.
