Not to mention that it seems like every example used in threads like this are the occasional player who plays 5+ accounts at the same time in some sort of PvP setting. But how often do you encounter one of these players? Yes, they stick out so much that people easily remember them, even years later. But how often do you run into a multiboxer that you haven’t already ran into?
Which is why the whole money thing is a dumb argument because Blizzard doesn’t make much money off of multiboxers in the grand scheme of things. They make far more money off of token sales and level boosts.

It’s a great example of money talks, ethics walk.

True winners multibox in Classic
You think people are complaining about someone alt tabbing between 2 windows? What a strawman.
All about getting that $ from extra accounts. Rules…what rules?
Should probably reread what I said.
No, it makes one key press affect multiple clients. It doesn’t emulate them at all, that would be a bot.

Ya I know I’ve tried to explain and others have but he does not understand and has no desire too. He is under the firm belief that third party programs are needed which is so not true.

Just like people have a firm belief that it is all about the money even though they don’t back it up ever with an actual amount.

The real question is why do people keep asking a question they already know the answer to? Blizzard has reminded firm that they do not consider it an exploit, just because you disagree doesn’t change that stance.

Actually, Blizzard is one of the few companies that listens to customer demand.
Listening is a far cry from doing as they demand. Which is why we don’t have any one of a million horrible ideas floating around here actually in the game.

Lol ya listening is one things actually doing is another. Blizzard does a lot of listening but not much doing. Unless there is a lot of demand by the community then they have a chance…yes a chance at doing. People who have a issue with Multiboxing are 10k miles away from changing blizzards stance.
Are you crazy? Retail is horrible solely because of customer demand.
Apparently you don’t understand automation. True automation would have the characters moving around and doing their thing without the need of anyone at the keyboard at all. The program would be taking the info from the game and moving the characters while no one is even playing the game.
Because multiboxers tend to be whales for Blizzard. Simple as that.
It’s unfair and unnatural gameplay. The tactics used to deal with it are totally unintuitive and different than playing against actual players.
And in large enough numbers, it becomes borderline impossible to deal with even if you know what’s up, even with a coordinated group. The ability to focus target global any target they want, or multiple in some cases, as well as cause lag if a large enough group to attempt to fight shows up… well, yeah.
Blizzard’s official statement is bullcrap. They like money, simple as that.
Exception: PvE multiboxing causes no real issues. But they can’t exactly ban PvP multiboxing and not PvE.

That’s not what automation means. You’re describing artificial intelligence, which is laughable.
Also known as AFK gaming, a bot is a method of controlling an in-game character by an automated means that does not require direct interaction from a player. Sometimes known as an “autoplaying game client”, this is strictly prohibited by the World of Warcraft Terms of Use Agreement. Most often, a bot uses a series of automated macros to control the character in game.
You asked and answered your own question OP, congrats!

He wasn’t really looking for an answer. He just wants to vent. My guess is he got WTFPWND by a multiboxxer in classic, got severely butthurt, and wanted to come in here to relieve some stress. He’s obviously not interested in the fact that Blizzard has answered this very question repeatedly over the years, and their official policy is that multiboxxing isn’t against the TOS.
