I did a raid finder raid, all the gear that dropped was rolled on instead of personal loot which was how it was done since cata I believe, so if I join a real raid, will there be loot master/loot council/GDKPS?
Group loot
Everything uses the /roll system. It prioritizes armor type and upgrade level of that specific piece. If the “real raid” is a guild, they can use a loot council and just have one person need on everything to pass out after. But that’s not supported by the in-game interface.
They really need to bring back personal loot for raid finder.

Keep in mind, personal loot is still in the game. Just not for raid instances.

For raiding only it’s group loot.
For everything else it’s personal loot.
Also you can get Warbound until Equipped items (Account Bound until Equipped) from content in TWW thats personal loot that can be anything from that raid boss or dungeon boss table (entire dungeon loot table for M+). LFR and Normal raids WuE gear is Vetran Track while Heroic/Mythic is Champion track. M+ drops track depends on the keystone with the higher keystones dropping Champion track.
we complained that we don’t see loot drop when it was personal.
we asked for this.
That being said, most of us have asked for Personal Loot for LFR with how much of a nightmare loot can be there.
It’s ironic now because neither group loot, personal loot, none of it even matter anymore thanks to the upgrade and crest system and crafting. Might as well just delete loot completely out of LFR.
You can always count on whatever “new” system they come up with to completely invalidate what was already in the game.

I really liked personal loot. It removed a lot of the egos and grievances when it was automated through Blizz.

Agreed. Far too many ninjas.
There is zero proof of “most.” And it’s also not coming back, due to group stacking.
Loot is not a nightmare anymore. Loot was a nightmare with PL and people harassing others in whispers, demanding their loot.
This is basically PL without the game taking into account which specs are in the group.

Yes, so more LFR loot can go to the mythic raid geared players who they bribed to be there with augment runes.
If you want it back, just tell everyone in your group to always roll need on everything they can, no matter what, and that’s essentially what you’ll get.

Personal loot was introduced in MoP. But group loot is better. If 4 things drop, you could potentially roll on all 4 if they’re usable for your class (slim chances but you get what I mean). Your chances to get loot are better with group loot than personal loot. Personal loot was still rolling 1 dice behind the scenes for you vs everyone else in the raid anyway. Now you simply see the rolls again.
