How is lag on EU servers?

For reference, i’m in North East region of United States

Wondering how bad the ping/lag would be if I played on EU

probably 150-200 ping on average

:face_vomiting:

create an account, make a character and check for yourself?

Your signal is traveling to the other side of the world… sometimes we stop remembering how crazy that is

Latency to the location of the EU servers used to be 2-3 months.

I played on EU from the US for a year and found my ping to be around 90-120ms. It was not bad at all.

It is only bad if you play fps games , you can ask the Oceanic players

That sounds like the time it takes to get a cheap piece of near garbage plastic from Wish.com :rowing_man:

One thing to note; You would have to buy a separate EU license I believe, and none of your characters would transfer over. I’m not even sure you can transfer them from a US account to an EU account. You would lose all your mounts, pets, toys, gear, etc.

I’m the other way around, UK playing on us servers, and it’s fine.

as others have said you’ll need to buy a whole new license and start from scratch, none of your characters or achievements/collections will be transferable and if you’re playing in a region you don’t live in you’ll have weird restrictions on your account. for example blizz are fine with me paying for game time, character services and shop purchases with my UK credit card but won’t let me buy game time tokens to sell for gold or transfer my bank alt guild because… reasons.

if you’re asking because you’re on shift work etc you may be better off finding a morning or daytime guild - there’s a fair few out there ranging from casual to CE raid guilds.
