How is HoT stacking going to work?

So I don’t want to waste my time leveling a class that’s going to be useless. I want to heal but at the same time I really don’t want to go paladin or priest so Druid is what’s left to me if I play ally. Point in short does classic have the same HoT and DoT limitations that vanilla had or does it operate off of a retail format where they’re uncapped so you don’t have to worry about a weaker HoT kicking off a stronger one.

Druid HoT’s don’t stack. Whoever has the highest rejuv/growth “wins”

Welp that answers that looks like they’re still gonna be the joke healers of classic then. Didn’t want to have to play priest yet again but welp looks like that’s gonna be the case.

90% of the time you will be casting different ranks of healing growth

No such thing as a “useless” healer. All of them will get raid slots very easily.

As for heal buffs, only 1 of each type can be active. But druids are least played, meaning if you play one, you’re likely to be the only one in a raid. Druids have 2 heal buffs that have no competition unless there’s another druid in the raid. Priests usually have 5+ in every raid, all sharing 1 renew slot on a target. Paladins/shamans have no heal buff, so for them it’s not even a concern.

Your HoTs weren’t why you were taken as a Druid healer. BRes, Innervate, MotW, and strong Healing Growth (when properly built) was why. You could throw out a Rejuv or two, and keep it on the tank, but it wasn’t something you blanketed the raid with.

You also communicated with other Druids - if you were running low on mana, someone else could take the HoT duty.
