How is fury in wpvp?

I know their healing got hit a while ago not sure how they scale now in wpvp and 1v1 in 8.2. Seems easy to shut down since you just CC enraged reg

I find them rather enjoyable. I’ve been leveling fury/arms and the build in healing of fury is nutty to be honest. The only class I’ve had real issue with is mages.

pretty good. If you know the tip of killing a nearby weak mob for a quick victory rush. Then yes you will have great healing factor.

Good sustain for solo. Better than Arms.
Arms is more for Arena or bgs, if you have a pocket healer

Fury can 1v1 fairly well, but if you get stunned and can’t use Bloodthirst, can be a easy kill.

Not many people you run across in world pvp track enemy buffs. Fury warrior isn’t that good in a 1v1 against a player that tracks and holds back their defensives/cc to counter enraged regen.

They are one of the strongest 2vN classes in world pvp though when paired with a healer. The ability to heal themselves when the healer is CCd or to peel for the healer with piercing howl and fear is huge.

There are much better classes for roaming solo.

oozo - love your videos wish you make more  besides DH and rogue (already got those) which melee’s are good for roaming solo.

Fury Warriors can get insane on WPvP. There aren’t many classes I can’t 1v1 pretty easily on mine. Healing is sometimes sketchy, but that’s really only due to if you can get a bloodthirst or two consecutive rampages.

I love it. I can 1v1 any class and usually come out on top unless a pally…

But fury is pretty gear dependent so until you hit about 400ilvl and have decent weapons you’re gonna feel like a wet noodle. But once you fix that you feel pretty dominant, with the right essences and set up you can roll over pretty much any class. I suggest trying it, I enjoy it more than all my other classes but it is pretty brain dead (I think that’s why I enjoy it because after a long day of work I don’t have to over think stuff like juking an interrupt on my casters)

Ridiculous healing for a pure DPS class.

i havent touched the game in the last two patches… what is this body guard thing in naj doing crazy stuff? do different classes get different bodyguards? do warriors get good ones?

We all get the same, they are decent. Best one for warrior is poen

Thanks. as oozo mentioned I’m still having trouble seeing this insane healing that fury warrior supposedly have if people are even remotely paying attention. Just cc the enraged reg and the bloodthirst heals are neglible, and the charge heal denies you mobility options. What am I not seeing?

Everything has a counter. It’s Rock Paper Scissors. So not sure what exactly you’re getting at. No one said they were unkillable

it’s the feedback that some give re: fury being able to beat most classes 1v1 with insane healing. most classes have a way to easily counter a 2 min healing cd… and then after that, I’m not sure where most of the healing come from besides bloodthirst and charge - are there other healing sources I’m not aware of? Am I underestimating how much healing we get without enraged reg?

I don’t have much to offer but a guild mate was complaining he kept getting run over on Fury despite having success in WM not that long ago, apparently he keeps finding DH’s and classes that have a higher rate of self sustenance and relative damage. I am not a Warrior person therefore i have no idea if he is just bad or not.

Taking advantage of mobs can allow you to chain Victory Rush, and become surprisingly durable. The damage is good, too…Until you get rooted and kited around.

In addition, unlike Paladins and DHs, Fury has very weak defensive CDs. Enraged Regen is on a 2 minute CD and requires you to be in range of Bloodthirst to benefit from the healing. If you can’t (And seeing how outside of a trinket Fury has one anti-root in the form of Bladestorm so this is likely), you’re just postponing your death. Not recommended to fight a Ret/DH head on.

Really good against healers, though, as you heal through whatever damage they may try to send your way easily. As long as you can stick to them, you should come up on top almost every time except maybe RDruid and you smashing Thorns for some reason.

Battle Trance and Slaughterhouse are your other semi-effective healing. Trance hampers DoT damage while alsogiving you 3% hp more they have to burn through every 3s. Slaughterhouse helps keep you in the long game if you can get them to 50% or lower.

gotcha thanks. I know dh almost hard counters fury but was wondering if anyone has any general strategy against them 1v1 (assuming no mob heals). I took self reflect and time it with their Rain… but other than that, it’s tough. I also have trouble with ret… but I know ret hard counters fury as well.

Hey, been playing the game a lot and not following the forums much atm.

A fury warrior can protect their enraged regen if they catch the person they are fighting with a stormbolt when they can’t break it. I usually use double charge for open world group fighting but stormbolt would be much better for 1v1s.

It’s on a really short cooldown, so you use it early to try to get trinket then use it later in the fight to protect enraged regen.

I still don’t think fury is a top 1v1 class though, but they aren’t bad either.
