How is Frost not getting M+ buffs when it is consistently one of the worst dungeon classes in the game

Basically title, frost has been one of the worst dungeon specs since BFA ended because of frostscythe being left to dust and getting 0 tuning updates. Frostreaper and Oblit cleave continue to make it obsolete and tie the spec down to having 0 damage outside of pillar because it has to strike a balance.

Meanwhile Breath of Sindragosa (I know this is a raid favorite) is just terribly designed for m+ so it really isn’t the option to look at for that content. I’m glad for people that enjoy it in raid but I don’t think it is salvageable in m+ so changes have to come elsewhere.

Frost HAS the tools for m+ but they are left so poorly tuned that even in their best case scenarios they wouldn’t be taken. Chill streak, frostscythe, howling blast (why does this have fall off at 1 target, genuinely it makes no sense in a melee 5 cap world) all would be fantastic in m+ if they were allowed to be.

The biggest head scratcher other than frostscythe (too many issues with oblit hitting too hard in pillar) is WHY is howling blast falling off at the first target. It actually could be a good AOE tool if it didn’t. Frost does not do good consistent aoe and this would be a great chance of making it fall off at 5 targets like every other melee.

Frost in fine in mythic+

It has been one of the worst performing objectively for a long time.

same gear level most other dps are 10-20k ahead right off the bat. with better AE. and more consistant dps uptime. that is, they have high dmg all the time, and then higher dms during cooldown. we have a wet noodle for dps 80% of the time, and then really high dmg for about 10 seconds, before returning to wet noodle. theyre dps is useful basically all the time, while i have to gage whether to pwn this pack, or that pack, and then be weak AF every other pack. our tree is small, boring, and lacking in options compared to most other specs. for ex, Fury wars have 5 final talents, each with 1 or 2 upgrades following it. they can easily spec 2 of them. we get 3, two are mutually exclusive, 1 is situational and weak and shouldnt be even an “ultimate”, and we can only realistically get 1.

in any given week, out of 10’s of thousands of mythic 15 and higher, only about 180 have a frost dk.

if by fine you mean usable unless pushing the highest keys, then you’re right.

I think the hope is the new tier set will make it good in M+

I definitely isn’t enough and further pushes it into massive damage windows and throwing away the idea of sustained aoe that isn’t dependent on your tank standing still.

Not every class can be meta. Not being meta doesnt mean bad.

Youtube Bicepspump or Frost Knight, high keys and great damage.

i don’t live under a rock, i know who they are.

Nah its not. I havnt seen a single one above a +20.

You havent??? Alert the press!

Oh good. So I dont have to tell you that you’re wrong, you already know.

You’re just goint to keep crying until you’re Meta.

tbh not really. all i want is a viable soul reaper. and that won’t really effect m+ as it’s a single target talent.
