How is Druid looking for TWW?

Good morning, all.

I have been watching videos and ingesting as much information as possible, but videos are hopping all over the place given how close it is to launch… most are just clickbait anyways…

either way, idc about FOTM, tier or all that… I mained resto years ago… think Legion was the last time i really actually played WoW… Is resto druid looking competitive in TWW? I don’t plan on raiding given how much time I have available for games now-a-days and wanted to return to TWW due to all the “solo” player friendly activities… focusing on M+ / pvp / delves, is druid looking good for these?

I have been struggling to find a class to pick, I know I have always enjoyed healing, easy to find groups as a solo player… I have been trying to decide between Druid and Shaman… maining Healer and dps on side… what are your guyses thoughts on these two? feel free to also include another healer rec if you think something else maybe good for someone like me, a returning solo player.

Rdruid will most likely be good in mythic plus. They just bring too much utility/dps to be a bad choice.

Same for PvP, you can heal without the fear to be interupted + Cyclone, Typhoon and solar beam are just too good.

Druid will always be a good soloer due to the acces of the guardiana spec and stealth so I suspect they wil be good for soloing delvs and Bdruid off-healing will probably be a blast for crushing delves without healers.

Most balance and resto druids are mad going in TWW due mostly to the lack of originality our hero talent has. Not due to the performance we will have.

If you are planning on maining a healer, Shaman is a much better choice. Also, a much better choice for ranged DPS offspec. RDruid will continue to be desirable for MOTW if you don’t already have a Druid in the group, it’s definitely not the most fun it’s ever been though, while Shaman is just living its best life right now. Totemic healer is a lot of fun to play.

Feral is doing good damage as an off-spec DPS but has core design issues. Balance is a hot mess so you wouldn’t have a great ranged DPS option. Even the WoWhead Balance spec writer doesn’t plan to play it.

The only design issue is melee range imo. YOu really feel not having the yard range that you had in DF.

Feral feels great. It’s slower, and the range change is a pain, but overall the spec feels good. Resto is solid as always, but other classes are more favored at the moment. It’s FOTM stuff.

Guardian is solid. Can’t speak for specifics. But I’ve heard no major complaints for bear specifically.

The only one that’s really hurting is balance.

Druid is a great class. Play it if you like, Theres a lot of game in there.

Haven’t played Feral as much as a lot of you in here, but I will say that as it stands now, I like it. I do wish there was more range, but it’s fun to play and it’s doing good damage. I like the slower gameplay.

It’s not perfect, but it definitely has a paw in the right direction.

I raided on my feral in S3 of DF. It was GCD capped, very busy.

I had to step away because it hurt my hands XD

It’s slower state is much more preferable imo.

Thanks for the comments all. I decided to Main DK, and shaman as backup as well as druid as 3rd

That is my current priority list too. Druid will just be for derping around in til they fix it.

in loving Champion of Elune. I took it for the hell of the it. I’m not sure how strong or balanced it its fun

I’m level 78 in EA and I take back any negativity against feral or balance I said. I let negativity affect my thinking and I was bummed with feral and balance going into WW. Now that I’ve played for 2 days I changed my mind. I have been having a lot of fun in both specs and both hero talents. Now hopefully they can keep a solid balance and keep them strong and I’ll be happy.

Yeahhh… I leveled my Dk to 80, realized that outside of their cooldowns they hit like wet noodles.

Leveled my resto Druid and am already in dungeon blues, not much extra flare through the hero tree but whatever.

Can only speak for feral. Lvl 80 in EA. Lets get it out of the way first…the nerf to our range SUCKS…you feel it and it feels really, really bad.
Llvd to 80 as wildstalker, it was quite a slog. Mostly because of TF no longer resetting and wildstalker being dot focused.

After about 7 hours at 80 i tried out Druid of the Claw and lemme tell ya…im killing stuff so much faster now. When ravage procs…boy howdy does it do alot of damage. Last boss of brewery it crit for 1.7 million at 556 ilvl. Cant post links but just delete spaces https:// imgur. com/a/tIIQphD

My one issue, and im sure this will be solved in time with more gear, but for some lvl 80 elites i had to pop every cd i have and kill mobs one by one…meanwhile a ret pally flies in gathers everything up and the mobs die in seconds lol.

Its sad to see bleeds so low on damage (rip DF season 1) but being able to do a massive cleave with ravage is kinda fun.

When TF is on CD and you’re low on energy its kinda slow and you feel useless waiting for energy…especially in dungeons. Im not a fan of how it is personally as i enjoyed the fast paced style of the old TF, but many may enjoy it.

The both guardian and port pally at 80 and bear is miles ahead in terms of damage and defence. The moon fire built does a lot of damage and is mostly passive

For every class that have a tank spec I always go tank spec for quest and world boss. I can tank a ton of mobs at once easily and can done elites too

Yep i had to do that for a few mobs. Having 5% haste in bear isnt fun though haha, but it gets the job done

I can redact my statements about Keeper. In fact, I like it way more than Elune. Though I would say balance and feral are squishy. Defense is needed. But so far that’s all I see at this point. Guess we wait until arenas open up to see what’s what.
