I have never EVER had a worse experience in PvP than trying to play Devastation Evoker.
I’ve played this game since vanilla and I’ve never had a worse time than on Devastation… And don’t get me wrong I love the class and I main it.
But I’m forced to heal if I want to PvP.
EVERY Cloth class feels tanker than devastation…
I feel stronger in melee as a mage than I do on Evoker… It’s unreal.
What is this? Why are they so weak? I don’t understand…
If your target is stationary and you hover away from it - you will literally hover out of your range of attack…
Everything’s on the global cooldown there’s no absorbs, no way to stop any CC, no CC you can rely on or do damage through yourself… Weak defensive…
I can’t be the only one that’s tried Devastation in PvP it’s pretty bad. How did this get past QA… Legit seems like they didn’t test Devastation in duels, world PVP or BGs without a healer… It’s a paper glass class without the canon. (Cheesey 1-shot is terrible design and was nerfed anyways)

He’s talking about devastation. Not Preservation though. But I do feel your pain. I was a restoration shaman main and I knew either Resto Druid or Resto Shaman was going to be trashed due to the new class. They went with Shaman. RIP fellow shaman mains.

have been messing around on a Devoker alt, and have to agree - wtf is this?
The class folds like paper in 2 seconds any time it’s targeted, feel more durable on my Ele shaman and that’s saying something
seems to be zero ways to kite as well? so what is the counterplay to literally any melee as Hover is on a 30 sec cooldown anyway?

Yup, been playing it since pre-patch and it’s just awful. It’s absolutely horrible. Playing a Devastation evoker is literally just gimping yourself. The mastery feels horrible, tip the scales and Dragonrage being your only ‘burst’ and even then it doesn’t do much very fast. I’m getting killed by warriors charging me, pressing odyns fury and avatar as my HP goes from 100% to 30 in like 2 globals, meanwhile i can’t even do 100k damage in a single global unless its tip the scales. The class needs MAJOR redesigns.

People are out there solo shuffling almost pushing 2500 arenas as devastation.
The pvp talents are flat out busted. Can’t be CC’d, silenced, interrupted, or slowed all while casting on the move for 24 seconds or something like that.
I’m slowly building up my gear and I’m playing a lot of pvp. I can’t wait to have a high enough item level to do solo shuffle… but I feel like I’m seeing improvement with more and more gear I get.
Honestly when I first started I was getting melted. But I kept at it and I feel like I’m surviving a little better and I’m starting to pump out the damage. I don’t think the class is perfect and I do agree some changes probably need to be made…. But overall I’m not seeing the doom and gloom.
Current Leaderboards has Devoker sitting at 2400 rating at max.
Needless to say you can pick any DPS/healer class and still reach those high numbers in shuffle. This doesn’t mean that Devoker still doesn’t feel less than a paper bag that dissolves with the slightest bit of pressure.
