Thinking of rolling an alt. Not for raiding, more for Mythics… Ive only leveled a warlock to max lvl in legion and then stopped so Im not seasoned. But looking at some gameplay, and testing it out…seems very fun. Loving all the different demons popping in and out. Looks and sounds great too.
Thoughts for Mythics?
I played it while leveling and it was okay. Seems like it’s pretty unimpressive at endgame tho. Most are saying either afflic or destro depending on activity.
If you’re just looking for an alt to have fun on and you don’t want to top damage go for it. It’s viable but not great damage wise, and then again we’ll probably get a tuning patch in the next week or two like we always do with new expansions so who knows.

Objectively it doesn’t have a lot of dps at the moment.
That said it’s damage profile is very smooth for m+ and it probably just needs something as simple as an aura boost to fill a really nice spot. I’m counting on it sharing spotlight with destro for most the SL I’m m+ myself.
It also brings 1-1.5 minute burst which is really reliable to boss fights so it’s not a feast or famine thing…it works in all m+ settings.
It has more mobility than Destro but not as much as Aff. It also has more ramp up than Destro but not as much as Aff.
Also also these things will almost certainly change with heroic tuning for raids and due to demos design with so much incidental stacked cleave from felguard and hand and what have you, it’ll almost certainly climb higher in a few weeks
Subjectively most warlocks seem to consider it the most fun spec to play. Myself among them.
Personally I’d call it a B grade spec that’s close to and almost guaranteed to climb up to at least A- if not outright warlock meta for m+ soon.

I’m really enjoying it. It isn’t the best performing or I am not the best at performing with it currently.
It has enough nuances to keep it interesting.
Torghast are the same as any of the warlock specs. Great as long as you get the correct anima powers. We have some bad powers and great ones. Which is different from the other class I’m playing which has nothing but great powers.
M zero has me struggling relative to other dps I play with. Not because I thing the class is weak, but because the fights are too short. Even then I’m not D tier. More like a B- tier.
Some fights I come close to topping the meter, but then again I run with a UH DK. Those dudes are pumping out insane level of dps currently in dungeons.
Get Carnivorous Stalkers conduit and run dogs build. The dogs help chop the ramp up down significantly.
Been meaning to try that. Still new to the demo and I am doing the tyrant build. I think it is more single target oriented.
But what do I know really? Still learning the nuances.

Demo is good place right now. It is not commonly played like Aff or Destro because of two reasons… First, it’s not the meta, and second, it has a higher skill ceiling that Aff and roll your face across the keyboard Destro. It is also worth noting that due to the beta rankings Warlock is among the FOTM, so you should expect to see mostly Destro and Aff in groups.
Demo has been a bummer since the legion rework
