Yes I understand he was originally killed by Grom Hellscream.
But he was resurrected and we cleansed his corruption in the Emerald Nightmare. As a matter of fact you see him alive and well after you defeat Xavius.
Does this mean that Cenarius will die before the launch of Shadowlands?
Nah for real, I hope they clear this up, because the last Cenarius lore we got was in Legion and he was still alive.
Every single wiki and source I could find points to him being still alive. So either he died off screen in some lame fashion, or he is going to die in the pre-patch.
I know this is slightly off topic, but if Draka is there, I pray Garrosh is too. I really wanna see Thrall fess up to royally screwing up by placing him as warchief.
You actually have the quote? because that link doesn’t actually say that, and watching the blizzcon stuff myself, Cenarius was not mentioned aside from what I said.
Could be he is alive like us and is just able to travel there normally. Cenarius isn’t your average guy, even for Wild Gods. But I’m sure it’ll be explained eventually. We still know too little of the story.
All I am saying is that if they kill him off, it better be a spectacular death. They mentioned him as part of the past heroes being there that died. So it is just unclear how they will approach this.
Well he is a god type, maybe he can transcend multiple realms since the Emerald Dream is the opposition force to shadowlands, he can come and go between the Dream, Shadow, and Living realm at will.
See I was thinking that, but at the same time he was always connected to the Emerald Dream which represents life. If you take a look at the Chronicles chart the Shadowlands are the direct opposite of the Emerald Dream. Something fishy would have to be at play for life to cross into death. Like the rupturing of the veil that Sylvanas caused by breaking the Helm of Domination.
Aside from the already mentioned Uther, Draka, Cenarius, and Kael’thas, will other dead characters have a frequent major or minor role in the expansion?
This doesn’t say ANYTHING like what you are saying…it implys that he could but it doesn’t say. Cenarius was not mentioned to actually be in Ardenweald or whatever, just that it is where he and other wild gods go before reincarnation/rebirth.
That would be an interesting take on it. I just want answers haha. And if that is true, it would explain how Sylvanas continued communication with the Jailer.
The Wild Gods are said to regenerate in Ardenweald. Will we see some familiar Wild Gods/Loa from Battle for Azeroth , such as Rezan or Shadra?
We’ll see some of them again. Unfortunately they can’t do everyone, so they’re picking and choosing which stories to tell, but there are some cool hooks there. Players already know of a figure involved in the spirits of Loa and trolls, and will learn more about his afterlife process as well.
