How is blizzard so bad at communication?

Can you not hire a single person with the billions you make to ACTIVELY communicate with the player base…not on stupid crap like “winter veil coming” but on actual game play changes, thoughts, reasons, tuning, etc?

Daily communication? I would take weekly communication that is actually substantial.

Did someone say Winter Veil?! :hushed: Oh…well it’d be nice if there was an official announcement. I’d like to know when that’s coming so I can be ready.

the paying customers?

I’ve spent a lot of time on the forums, and I definitely wouldn’t want a job dealing with this toxicity everyday.

Especially when you know you dont have answers or power to fix anything. You would essentially be signing up to just be beat on everyday.

They dont have to talk to the forums - ever

just communicate with the players on game status, changes, thoughts, plans.

The issue is no matter what Blizzard says someone will be pissed. That’s why Blizzard rarely communicates now. I do miss the Q&A but Ion’s responses were not that helpful.

Ermm, that sounds like the blue posts they put out every couple days.

Here’s one announcing AWC.

There’s a difference between bad and don’t want to

When I was in school my teachers probably thought I was bad at classes but I just didn’t care

i don’t understand how you think it’s possible to communicate with players, without two way interaction?

…unless you mean communicate to players.

Blizzard has always been bad at communication, they are just worse now than they were originally. That said, it would be nice if the devs engaged with players more than just at Blizzcon and the occasional interview.

Announcements are one thing, but actual information about game direction, class tuning, mechanic tunic, etc.

Threads like these make me wish the old forums didn’t implode on themselves during BFA. Just to show what level of rabid space herpies we all really are like as soon as a blue posted anything.

They talk on twitter. They feel safe there, because they can shadow ban you and you’ll never know. Just be talking to yourself, making those witty one line zingers and memes nobody can see.

Over the years Its also become the problem that anything they say, the ‘community’ will nail them to a wall for it and beat them to heck with it good/bad or otherwise intended.

Its safer for them to just not.

Yet another playerbase created problem that we all suffer for.

I wouldn’t care as long as I get paid. If someone is that thin skinned then too bad. If you’re being paid to do something, then do it.

They have no respect for the players. That simple.

It’s just plaform to take our money and time.

I mean, would you want to talk to us? I wouldn’t.

Odds that someone would demand they fire the Community Manager after their first unpopular reply…100%
