I quit in 8.2 and came back recently as I enjoy the kiting playstyle especially since the expansion was so melee heavy.
Is BM decent with 450 item level ?
I’d like some insight into stat prio if you wish to share it - currently from what I understand it’s mastery/versatility.
Bm is certainly viable, to an extent. It’s definitely not a t1 spec (destro/dh/ww/assa) currently but it’s not “bad” - just middle of the pack. Survival is a little more competitive but if you prefer Bm I think it’s fine.
450 is a pretty low for current patch. I think stat prio is crit>haste/versa.
With 450 plus gear, decent essences and a corruption or two, the class is more than viable. It’s not flavor of the month over powered, but its in a decent place. You’d have fun jumping back in. At higher ilvls you likely get plenty of haste between gear, traits and pros, that stacking crit is best at that point.
Made this vod a few days ago this should catch u up to speed fairly quickly. Bm is bad atm in arena. But I’ll play it till I’m dead. Hope the guide helps.

Also DH is hardcore counter for BM.
