Not sure if it is worth to level my mage since arcane is the only spec I am interesed. What do you guys think about it?
The answer is yes, yes in casual pvp and decent in rated, and yes if you play it well in pve. I imagine since you are leveling it this late you aren’t doing too competitive of content so arcane will likely outperform fire at those levels.
By “well” he actually means “be one of the top 50 players in the world because everyone else will produce low-mid pack damage”.
Spec is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Like just delete everything associated with the spec and start again. Maybe this time they can get something right.
In BGs they are decent but don’t bother bringing one into arena. You’ll endlessly be line of sighted while the enemies continually recycle their major cooldowns until they land a killing blow on you.
It’s fun, but it isn’t good. If you’re chasing meters you’re going to be disappointed, and there are pain points in a lot of encounters. At the same time, sun king, council of blood, sludgefist are all great fights for arcane. Mythic+, well, your mileage may very. Prideful is a fun affix to take advantage of it can be rough if you PuG.
