How is Aberrus difficulty?

Is it harder or easier than Vault? Is it a good or bad thing?

I haven’t finished it yet but on normal I think the raid has been easier than vault so far and I think that’s a good thing.

What do you think?

normal is easy up to the second to last boss. the last two ramp up pretty hard.

First half is undertuned on N/H, next 4 are good, and sarkareth is a step up.

It FEELS undertuned, but that’s only because Vault gave the APPEARANCE of being overtuned.

When Vault released, it was tuned with the (seeming) expectation that everyone would be willing to drop 1M+ on crafting the very best gear and pushing the highest Mythics.

From my chair, that didn’t happen.

The few people in my guild that DID drop insane amounts and were DRAMATICALLY overgeared … pretty much proved that if the rest of us went that same route, we would have progressed 5x faster.

But we’re not that kind of guild. And as were geared up “normally” and refused to pay into this pos profession system, we got it done. It just took longer.

Now we’re starting out with very good gear. People ALREADY have their professions maxed out. It’s a totally different situation.

S2 feels good. S1 was just … BEYOND frustrating because I refused to pay into that system.

I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I wonder if that is mainly because we are starting this raid already in what is mid/late boss normal gear day 1 and going up from there rather than M0 gear like on the first tier.

It feels about right.

My raid being 410-420 ish doing normal breezed through the first 7 and got the final 2 after a couple attempts.

Sark phase 3 has a nasty overlap with a group soak and bombs at same time. It’s easy to miss the bombs if you’re not paying close attention. A little extra attention spent there and you get the kill.

My raid did 8 nomral bosses in 2 hours with 20 second explanations. Had like 3-4 wipes in total and at the later bosses. Looks a bit easier than Vault but at a better starting gear so it’s evening itself out a bit.

I think we’re starting heroic tonight so it should be fun.

my guild basically yolo’d 8/9 N (ran out of time on first night to get Sarkareth and apparently we were doing a mech wrong lol) and 6/9 H in the first 2 nights of the season. seems easier than vault tbh but mythic is the actual test imo

We raid for two hours. We had a couple of wipes as we learned a mechanic or two, but we downed every boss we attempted on Normal.

We’ll see how the last two go, then move right to heroic. It actually feels a bit… easy?

Alotta people are super overgeared for normal/heroic of the new raid when you compare the ilvl gap between hitting 70 and doing vault

So yea, this raid tiers gunna look a lot easier by comparison

up until Neltharion was fun and pretty chill, first few are easy, middle few are like ok lets get serious, last 2 are like ok bye gg gL

The Neltharion and Sarkareth fights are pretty darn epic. Very much enjoy the design of the 2 final encounters in this raid.

First bosses seem easier. Heroic Nelth feels about on par with Hc Diurna and HC Sark I’m not sure because I’ve only pulled it a few times and haven’t been past phase 2.

Normal feels equally maybe more easy than Vault.

Mythic Kazzara feels a lot harder than mythic Eranog though. It’ll take longer for pug groups to overgear it because it’s a bit of a mechanic check, but with more gear you should be able to dps it down before you get too many opportunities to die to beam overlaps.

You’d think having the entire tiers worth of data would make tuning a bit easier.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned it, but we are also going into this raid with 4 piece tier bonuses (most of us, myself not included)

I full clear Normal, 7/9 boss were easy but last two can be a challenge. I did enter heroic last night and Elder Rashok was bit difficult. I feel the tuning is fine.

Nelth was great fight…but Sark doesn’t feel like end boss compare to other end raid boss that we had.

My guild had wipes on the first and second bosses as we were figuring things out (2nd we did was the shadow flame elementals) 1 shot the 3rd boss (the experiments) and attempted the assault

It feels about right, but difficulty might be tied to gear and/or raid make up.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I’m not sure how I didn’t think of it.

N/H first part is pretty easy, prob needs buffing tbh,
last 4 seem in the pocket as far as difficulty.

The last boss is the hardest thing in the dungeon. I don’t think the fights hard, but the mechanics seem like they picked them out of a bucket and just said well there’s the fight.

I’ve done 8/9H three times and full cleared Normal four times this week.

I can confidently say that this is the easiest Normal/Heroic raid tier I have ever done and it isn’t even remotely close, and Mythic seems pretty straightforward as well (we got Kazzara to 14% in about 6 pulls and that’s the hardest first boss we’ve done in a very long time).

And you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way. I like when farm’s extremely easy.

Ion trying to prop up raid. Players who struggle to clear keys in the 16+ range waltzing into the raid and getting hero schedule (441 upgraded) loot drops. Meanwhile you need to time 19s to acquire gear at a comparable speed to blasting the raid. On top of that raid drops cracked cantrips as well as tier.

Big sus. Glad I’ve decided not to push title as it’s clear Zion wants to mend this a raid centric patch from a gameplay PoV (lore-wise it is sn optional side quest).
