How inconvenient is playing Horde?

Other than a very brief period in WoD, I never really tried Horde. I generally don’t like their aesthetic and let’s be honest, I’d be giving up free crates in war mode.

However, I don’t know if I can keep resisting the temptation of those silly little foxes. I want to switch every class I can to Vulpera.

Ugh but those mud huts and sticks :face_vomiting:

It’s not all spikes and leather. In fact if you did a little statistical analysis you’d find the majority of the Horde are of the civilized elven variety. We do require Orcs for grunt work though. You’ll notice there’s never any Elf peons. :sunglasses:

If you switch to Horde normalize in your mind that you’ll probably never see another War Crate again.

They are known vectors for carrying Rabies.

Stop resisting. Come to the cool side of the pillow.

It’s not mud, it’s cob.

It’s just the aesthetic of a 20 year old game to help differentiate the races.

Tauren are very tribalistic in nature and beliefs, so a lot of totemic and nomadic like structures are built

Goblins are very engineer/profit driven. so a lot of their structures look cheap and rustic to save money, rusted and half bolted together.

Undead are very…well…zombie like. So plaguey, run down structures are their go to.

ETC, ETC.

To each there own. i enjoy a lot of the horde zones and aesthetics more than alliance.

Vulpera are cute, and can be worth making one. but entirely up to you.

Orgrimmar is ugly for sure compared to Stormwind. But, all the expacs take place in a brand new shiny neutral city anyway. For the current content, I don’t think there is even really a difference between Horde and Alliance anymore.

Horde is less drama, horde is more pro, horde is higher numbers, horde is life.

people are getting mighty vindictive about the ‘mud huts’ but to be clear stormwind is just piles of rubble time hasn’t gotten to yet; idk why some are getting so smug

Stormwind is an open sewage canal.

There’s no way it smells better than Orgrimmar.

Also a reminder that the black plague occured in the medieval times because of how unclean humans were back then. I assume, because Stormwind is a castle, they’ve got similar habits.

Folks would literally dump their chamber pots out into the streets below, lol.

And even if they use toilets, well, again- it’s an open canal lol.

Probably see turds floating by on the daily.

I changed my Paladin to Blood Elf and my Monk to Vulpera recently. I do everything I can to stay out of Orgrimmar. I hate that city so much.

I’ll be honest I kind of ignore a lot of the lore and story writing. I pay more attention to the things you actually get to experience in game like the playable races and mounts.

In my opinion would have always had the most diversity when it comes to race choices each race feels different and unique. On Alliance side to me Everything feels the same. Horde also have the coolest mounts in the game.

In BFA they were awarded the coolest mount blizzard has ever added to the game. Fun fact if you were playing during BFA and got the hippogriff as a Alliance you will get to enjoy this mount as Horde

If your only reason for playing horde is wanting to be a shoe horned in race, you shouldn’t play horde.

Vulpera are the least horde thing about the horde.

Completely untrue they are highly resourceful and often underestimated. They are Misfits and they are nomads this is literally what The Horde is all about

I would argue that I’m dead and everything they stand for is the least Horde Race

It all goes out to sea. Unlike in Orgrimm’s Dump where they probably just crap in the streets.

I don’t get it.

Any race that decides to join the Horde has amazing taste and they shouldn’t be looked down on for making the correct choice.

The elf peons couldn’t handle the work :stuck_out_tongue:

What irks me is that Vulpera have basically no lore at all.

To me, it felt like they “thrown at” the Horde, because they’re a furry and cutesy race.

Just to sell more copies or whatever.

Honestly seems like they were marketed to get unfamiliar folks to play the game, and that’s it.

There’s unplayable races that have more lore than Vulpera- Kobolds, Quilboar, Furbolgs, pretty much any race, lmao.

Vulpera, to me, is easily the most non-WoW feeling race as a result.

Even Void Elves, for as much of an ***-pull they were, fit in better.

They were retconned sure, but they thread into the lore easily.

Vulpera don’t have any gods, no ancestry, nothing. They’re just- there.

I won’t lie, I usually keep one or two Horde characters abreast with my Alliance characters, that became a habit back in Mists and I stuck with it. Love me some orcs.

But this expansion, The Horde are just not present in the story. Other than Thrall being Anduin’s emotional support orc, and Gazlowe turning up deep in the pits of Azj Kahet. I miss the days of both sides having a story to tell.
