How in the nether

…can Lightforged Space Donkeys be able to be DK’s and Warlocks but gnomes can’t be druids?

Mechagnome transformers would need a lot of new art.

It’s because of Blizzard’s art team having to make assets for Druids, Paladins, and Shamans. There’s literally no other reason.

Don’t try and make it about lore, because you’ll notice that every time a class isn’t available to a particular race, it’s one of those three. Or Evoker/Demon Hunter, which are limited to a single race per faction.

They can’t.

Space donkeys are not a playable Race in WoW.

Gnomes are still trying to learn what a real kitten is.

Anyone can die and be reanimated as a DK nowadays. Becoming a warlock is just like being a morally gray mage. They let up on some restrictions that were taboo in lore like a night elf mage or unlikely because of racial stereotypes like tauren rogue.

But shaman/druid/paladin have two main reasons. First, extra development time for race-specific assets. Second, all three of them are getting power from a different source, if they ask the spirits of nature/the elements/the light to grant them the powers of druid/shaman/paladin and the power says nah, then they don’t get the powers.

Usually when a gnome, a disgusting, insignificant lump of titan-metal turned fleshy and ugly, asks for it the power probably points and laughs while saying no.

You certainly have room to argue the warlock front.

But its not like they chose to die and get brought back by the lich king.
That kinda happened without their consent.

“Space Donkeys” also can’t be druids. Your entire argument is flawed.

Druids will be the last class they unlock…assuming they ever do it.

Druidism is for a different gnome subrace. :mag::robot:

Power corrupts people easily.
So they can use fel and become Death Knights.

The other way around (to become a Paladin) isn’t easy as you don’t see former humans (forskaen) becoming paladins… the same is about druid.

Fel and Shadow are “easy powers” to succumb, but light and nature are not easy to wield.

Any race that has fixation on the light, would also have a deep and intimate knowledge of the main opposing cosmic forces such as chaos and death. And if anyone wanted to rebel against the doctrines of light, they would know exactly the best way to do that. Not to mention that the dead don’t have any control over being raised as death knights.

Gnomes on the other hand are a society built on gadgets and technology. They love everything mechanical and chemical. Most of the cosmic forces are not antithetical to technology and machines. But if any type of magic is it would be life. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure life magic is the main force that gives druids their powers.

Because gnomes are for punting

Describing a Warlock as a “morally grey” Mage is kinda underselling it, especially considering the history of Nelves and Draenei especially.

It’s literally just the art requirement to make new assets.

The older I get, the more I think that power doesn’t really corrupt, it just gives you the freedom to be who you really are.
