How i play

I use W A S D to move space bar to jump and left click for all my spells. Is this bad?

Does it work for you? If yes, you’re playing WoW right!

Thing is you actually look like a Goblin…

Yes, you’re a monster. Movement should be set to V B N M, jump should be 1, and an angry kitten will find you if you even think about clicking something. The optimal way.

I played that way for years, and then I got a naga mouse with 12 buttons on it, and the game really opened up for me. Im still a dirty casual, but the game is much easier now as far as rotations and reaction time go. You play the way that makes you happy. Your spot in the world is yours to create, and your playstyle is just a part of it.

Which part? That you use the keyboard to move or that you click your spells?

At the end of the day all that really matters is that you jump, and jump often.

Pretty normal so far

Yeah, bog standard. I don’t see what-

Get out.

I started the same way, clicking all my spells. Eventually I invested in an MMO mouse, and now I can’t live without it! Aside from WASD, I use 1-5, G1-G6, and everything else is tied to my mouse.

I always recommend that players start with what works best for them, and branch out slowly to learn.

Lol, when i watch people play, their mouse is always still, they just use it to turn the camera. I find it pretty fascinating but i dont know how they do it so easily.

When I raided I orange parsed mythic fights as a clicker. Whatever is the most efficient way for you to output your abilities.

Like anything else, practice. Often driven by a desire to not be slow anymore.

Play with a controller for all care…

So is it faster to click or keybind?

Depends on you…but in general keybinds

Is it the optimal way to play? No.

Is it how you prefer to play and does it work for you? Go for it.

I use WASD and the mouse to move too, but I have the majority of my abilities keybound to 1-12 and shift+1-12 so I can use nearly all of my abilities via the 12 buttons on the side of my mouse.

Switching from one style to another will always slow you down for a little while. You’re used to playing one way, and during the change it’ll feel like you’re stuck between gears as you try to remember what press activates what, because you don’t have the muscle memory yet.

But once you’re acclimated, keybinding is always faster than clicking.

I’ll definitely try it out

Haha I use a combo of arrow key to move forward and mouse for direction, the side keys for abilities.
