How has Medivh not been fixed yet?

You need 10 million interrupts and also hope he never casts Flame Wreathe cause even if you do it right it’ll bug and one shot the entire group from full health anyway.

They nerf lower Kara every week but honestly at this point Medivh is worse than anything in loweer.

It doesn’t bug? It only detonates if the person affected either moves out or dies.

Where it becomes an issue is if the person with wreath also gets the other dot

All you need to do is use a defensive and make sure if the other dot is cast on those affected by wreath that it is int’d otherwise only the frost cast needs to be int’d and the tank can int other spells if needed to mitigate damage

It’s not that hard

Few things:

  1. You ONLY need to interrupt frostbite. Nothing else. Never interrupt fire, and only tank interrupts arcane cast if it truly bothers them.

  2. Flame wreath is a simple “DO NOT MOVE” mechanic - people also take heavy damage in it, meaning, they have to be healed up or they die and explode everyone. It’s not “bugged”, people just don’t understand it.

I’ve never seen flame wreath bug, just people carelessly move in it or die in it causing it to explode. It’s supposed to one shot you because you had someone not listening or understanding.

  1. Sure, if you want your tank to die, or the entire group to wipe if birds or Flame Wreath is out.

  2. It’s bugged. Pets and summons can trigger it.

Well yeah its a given you should interrupt Medivh’s birds, I meant on medivh himself, never interrupt anything as a DPS but frostbite. And the times I’ve ran upper karazhan(Legion and SL s4), I’ve never seen a pet trigger flame wreath, something else is going on your not seeing happen in the moment.

Mana Devourer is harder than Medivh. If flame wreath isn’t out you can dodge the fire dot.

Hardest part of the fight is probably the add phase, flame wreath doesn’t hit that hard anymore. They already nerfed it.

I saw the alleged Flame Wreath “nerf” in the notes; we still got one-shot by it this week.

Not to confuse the issue, I won’t tell you how we died this time but I will tell you how we died one one pull a couple of weeks ago: As best we can tell, our monk DPS used Rising Sun Kick with the wreath on him. The game must have read that as “leaving” the circle because no one died and it still one-shot the group. That’s not the only instance I’ve seen RSK be a mechanical issue in but that’s a separate complaint.

I had not heard that pets/summons can trigger it but I wouldn’t doubt it in the least. That fight was buggy when Legion was out and it has retained all its bugginess now. It’s just on the Flame Wreath mechanic, though.

Flame wreath has 2 mechanics that damage in it. First is someone walking in or out of the circle - instant explosion to everyone. This is intended to one shot. The 2nd is a heavy DOT the 2 players in the circle take, this from my understanding is what got nerfed, not the AOE explosion. And that pet triggering explosion is BS, I’ve never seen it happen.

Flame wreath is still a big hps check and birds without proper coordinated kicks is also nukes worth of unavoidable aoe damage.

But with that out of the way the worm boss is definitely harder.

It’s never bugged for me, it only kills you when you move and it’s designed that way, get everyone in position before it goes off and just don’t move.

As for the interrupts the tank should be able to eat piercing missiles from Medivh, the inferno bolt can be eaten by anyone, only frostbite needs to be interrupted. And if you run out of interrupts and the DPS are not doing the right thing with inferno bolt than that’s on your group for failing mechanics.

It’s actually a very easy fight if you do the mechanics correctly. I timed a tyrannical +16 3 days ago with 3 pugs and 1 guildie.

All the bosses in kara present a reasonable challenge. The easiest in kara in general is probably maiden.

There was clearly a change in design philosophy when it comes to some of the other dungeons

ID for example, none of those bosses present even the semblance of challenge.

It’s mainly a product of their time. You’re not really running around with what you had in legion so the dungeon did require a lot of tuning for the majority of players.

I would say ID just allows you to deal with the boss mechanics and doesn’t have a lot of huge damage you can’t dodge.

Maybe for really low keys but on 20+ especially on tyran you have to interupt as many fires as your kicks can spare.

During flame wreath you have to kick the fire if its on someone with the rings.

At 26% vers the fire dot ticks 20k/second, if you got 3 dots out good luck healing through it

Flame Wreath can trigger when other people walk into it. Is that what you’re thinking of?

Sometimes the whole group says “I didn’t move I swear!” but they did. They really did. Had a hunter claim that it was the tank but I was behind the hunter’s circle and literally watched him backpedal through it

Did they fix the bug with bron? I haven’t cared to run it this week.

That fixed that early days im pretty sure, I never personally saw it
