You can’t root beam convoke anymore because it doesn’t target rooted targets.

couldn’t hit smoke bomb, cloak of shadows, or vanish fast enough?

rooted targets don’t take damage from convoke or any druid aoe.

They reversed the reverse yesterday in a hot fix it looks like so they no longer take damage from it in roots

convoke was never intended to hit rooted targets because it wasn’t last week that’s for sure. So my guess is the change they made somewhere else resulted in convoke all of a sudden hitting rooted targets so they reversed the change.

My teammate took 36k damage in 0.2 seconds from Convoke. Full Moon into Starsurge. Both crits. its the closest thing to an “I win” button in the game.

I’d just like to point out that you saying this, as well as others who claim similar things, are disingenuous. I’m sure it said it took .2s because you’re timing it from the moment you’re hit first, not when convoke started. It casts spells every .25s, so travel time rng is the only way it would happen but it still 100% means you’re changing the narrative to make it seem worse than it is.

Beating a dead horse at this point and I’ve already advocated for changes but this hyperbole mentality really gets under my skin.

Other way around. It avoided root beam and targeted Cyclone. Now it avoids clone and targets those in rootbeam.

I’m seeing this in the hotfixes from yesterday evening.

" * Reverted a recent change that caused Convoke the Spirits (Night Fae Ability) to strike targets affected by crowd control abilities that break on damage, such as Entangling Roots."

I read that as:

  1. There was a recent change that caused Convoke to hit roots
  2. Blizz reverted that so it no longer hits roots

It will, and they wont win, or even be on one of the top teams

Convoke is only consistently a noob crusher. Those guys wont lose a series to it.

Ehh Chans been playing convoke boomy, his team is def top tier

Ceraliums team won last AWC and they have Prevy but dnno if he’d go nf
