New alt grabbing my elite gear and I just won a 2.8k game at 1600cr and only got 30 rating.

I believe the most you can get per win is 25?
It’s very easy to not lose rating. You just wont shoot up super fast no matter how high your mmr is.
My guess is it’s intended for people to have to participate in a decent number of games while ensuring they don’t feel bad and stop participating because they get hardstuck at 1500.

its not just blitz, however, the bottleneck that they create seems to be pretty tough to get through for people. but i think its somewhere between 1550-1700. once your over 1700 its gold. mmr seems to act normally
While you complain, if I were you I would say: what a blessing!
They give bread to those who are not hungry, I have gained very little and lost a lot in your situation.
I understand that… its true I could lose a dozen games before it affects my mmr. If I was pushing with this class would love it. Im just rushing mog though.
CR gains should be capped at something like 24, yeah.
MMR is more malleable early on.

Once you get past the website boosters around the 1600 to 1700 area, everything gets better. 1850 and Beyond Battleground Blitz becomes a lot less illegitimate. There are way more legitimate games from 1850 to 2200. After that you start to see win Traders
There’s no1 boosting or wintrading at 1600 - 1700 and even at higher mmr the wintrading is not much of a big deal, it really doesn’t happen that often.

It’s completely throttled in terms of point gains, ive been over 2.4k mmr since 1500, the skill of the player pool in solo blitz is so bad you will be matched with people 2.4k+ rated if you even have a pulse.
Gods, how bad are some of you players who only play blitz where total noobs that start are equivalent in mmr to you?

Its going to take a couple hundred wins to get to 2400.
I’m close to it as BM but I don’t really do PvP too much right now.
Whether you’re the buyer or seller, I don’t see how you could reliably do it anyway. Might as well just do preformed arena if you’re looking to cheat.

Healer duos with somebody, usually a dps. More often than not it’ll be a mistweaver or pres evoker.
I know… I scummed a few toons but did so early before the throttling was on. I accept the coinflip nature of low mmr. Just the low gains really surprise me.

People wanted high mmr players out of their game asap so here we are with super volatile/malleable mmr.
There are 10 websites up right now that say otherwise.
Why would people be boosting at this rating and not higher?
Ask the website boosters and the websites. They literally even do it to 1400. Maybe you should ask them why they boost people to 1600.
i got a buddy who plays on the more serious side of pvp 2400+.
he has done stuff like boost his toons to 1800+ because he actually plays at a level of over 2400+. I know he’s a truck driver in the usa, makes huge money, he hates the choke points in cr and mmr so he just wants his toons past the point where the plebs and dregs are playing in so he can get into some real games. he looks at it more like paying someone to level his toons so he can start the real playing. so there’s that angle. i dont know how many players are in the boat, but he is and i kinda cant really argue with him. ive seen him play and he’s a gifted 2400+ player. I wouldnt waste a dime outside my sub. on my toons…but he feels like its worth it

Because every pvp player has like 5k gold to their name and mw/pres have most agency
