Been looking for a good dedicated guild on a populated server for some time. Every guild I’ve joined is dead, rarely logs in except raid days and no one seems to help new, returning or undergeared players. I know you can farm PvP gear for PvE stuff, or upgrade covenant quest gear but when you need Heroic Raid level ilvl gear from keys it seems hard to get anywhere.
Sure you can do keys but pugging seems to be a hassle. If you’re not “elite” enough via raider IO then good luck ever being invited. It seems like it’s becoming more and more of a hassle to even think about getting geared or finding a friendly progression guild who helps their guildees. Even lately the amount of toxic people I’ve ran into on keys is astounding.
What is going on with this game?
I mean - are you on the alliance side… so it might be harder.

Both sides seems it is falling apart honestly.

Took me forever as Alliance even when I thought I had a good one it went south wasn’t until I went Horde and the master Vulpera race did I find the perfect guild. True finding a guild now is a lot harder but just focus on what you are after in a guild for me I wanted social interactions and players on a lot which I got with Vulpera United.

My issues is the guild promises 1 thing then it’s another. I ask questions they say “this” then it is “that”. It’s frustrating.

For Alliance, create a toon on Sargeras or Stormrage. Those servers are highly populous for Alliance.

then maybe not the guild for you don’t go in with their promises Vulpera United may have promised me things at first but once I got in I didn’t care again look at what you want out of a guild.

What did they promise you?
The population isn’t the trouble. It’s finding good steady progressive guilds that aren’t dead or just never online. This “content drought” seems to have effectively killed everything. No one is even logging in for alts on populous realms for most guilds I’ve seen. It’s just…toast.

This.
… It is sad but somehow I cannot blame those who don’t log on anymore either if they’re just not enjoying their time in wow atm

That is basically it. Right now it has a feeling of “end of the party”, most people are done and have no reason to keep logged in for a lot of time, so they are taking a break. Not a good moment to look for a guild.
Expect to see more movement when 9.1 is closer as guilds get ready to the new tier and season.

Shadowlands is in a pretty good situation to be comfortably raid logged to be fair.
On top of that Shadowlands is currently losing a lot of players that it gained from the release. It’s standard procedure for new expansions to have a huge influx then drop off. Guilds who have finished prog are looking for star pickups, if you’re lacking logs it might be significantly more difficult - Also as someone who mentioned you are Alliance
Don’t remember what Vulpera United promised me when I joined but I know one thing they don’t give a fox butt about end game we don’t care about progression or beating the mythic crap. Sure we have mythic raiders in guild but us casuals we don’t feel pressured to be one of them.
The one thing I ask is - when is everyone generally on… common hours of activity. That tends to help in terms of schedule - most guilds aren’t on 24/7 so knowing when people are supposedly around will help.
If a guild can’t answer that question - they probably aren’t organized to begin with.

But then again, shouldn’t there be enough people who are still pushing keys and raiding? I mean, sure, it’s been a while since launch but not everyone immediately pushes for ksm in the beginning and I know people still raid. So where are those people? What guilds are they in? Or do they all always pug?

Exactly what I want to know too there Failea. Where are the people still playing? Where are the active guilds? Where are the ones who just rejoined, or are looking to progress still? That’s what I was promised.
“Oh we’re active. We’ll do keys. We can help people gear”.

Still playing and my guild is active.
I still want to know what vulpera united promised you.
Maybe try communities rather than guilds - easier to join, check if they’re active and leave if not (plus you can be in several at the same time)
No clue what you’re referring to here.
