I am new to Shaman, is it possible for me to get to 1800 in SS before the season ends?, i saw this guide the dude was giving me a crap ton of macros and i’m not about all that i just wanna hit 1800 and be done lol

As Elemental? If you can comfortably tab flameshock a few things it’s just jackhammering earth shock and lava burst while dragging people into a bad spot and then trying to maybe avoid overlapping diglett/wall with healer buttons.
Yeah, you’ve got plenty of time.

I hit 1800 on ele in s1 fairly easily, dont think a ton has changed. Pay attention to when your healer is cc’d so youre not blowing defensives for no reason, maintain flame shocks, and profit.
I just hit 1800 tonight as affliction, and im terrible. I think ele is quite a bit easier.

id suggest a name change.
If you need help, im probably bad enough that i can “coach” you without it being too overwhelming if you have any vods or streams. Its a super fun and simple spec, and you have the benefit of positioning however you want.
I won most of my games dragging dps out of los of their healer and going ham

You need 0 macros lol. Just bind your buttons, pve, try not to die and you’ll do fine! If you need help, post a vod and im happy to give tips!

I’ve been finding it very difficult to stay alive tbh in BGS, aside from astral shift and burrow i don’t know what to press to save me, i had just gotten 1800 on my demo warlock just by knowing my rotation and abilities so was hoping i could do the same for shaman but it seems even more overwhelming
BGs can kind of suck sometimes.
Treat RSS like a bg in the casual aspect.
Work on different things each lobby. Make yourself a bad target (though sometimes it won’t matter melee like me will run you down anyway).

Stick to pve, where you don’t lose rating for failing mythic + dungeons
Bgs are way different. If your team is doing well you do well. Arenas you can make much more of an impact and there aren’t as many variables
Also if you already hit 1800 on lock youll be fine. Do the same thing on shaman. Learn the rotation and youre golden

Really appreciate all your help, if all forum posters were like u i probably wouldnt be afraid to ask for help, i’m guessing rn its best to push for 1800 since s4 mmr will be deflated?
It’s certainly the more conservative option, so yeah, I’d recommend pushing now.

I would think so. Happened pretty fast for me. I dont pay much attention to inflation or deflation, its too easy for me personally to use that stuff as an excuse. Lot easier to blame the system than myself lol

you can get to 1800 in a day or so, the problem is the queue times mostly cuz a game per hour is hard most uf us just get bored and DC before a second match
