Have a lot of low ilvl alts like this guy I want to get better gear on for SL. For those who played the PTR approx how long does it take to get the ketchup gear?
Not as fast as the mustard gear.

you just need to do the first part of the quest to open up icecream for the daily’s

I’m trying to figure the point of using it for sl. I can see it being good for players being more useful in time fillers like bgs, raids and dungs. The first SL green gear will most likely outweigh any purple or blue.
Hmm, guess if it were spicy it would be fast.
Mmm ketchup. Ever eat it from the container with a spoon? Its good if you mix it with milk and chug it…see how long you can go without puking. Ok sorry ill stop.
Relish in the fact that it’ll be easy to sauce.

Depends how much gold you got I am selling packets of ketchup for 2000 gold each. Each piece of gear costs different amount of packets. You dump it on your gear and it upgrades your gear 
Then you have to buy mustard packets for the next upgrade
Then BBQ sauce and so on until you come to the legendary upgrade which you need secret sauce to upgrade your gear to legendary. It’s a secret to where the secret sauce is!
Like 1-2 days /played or like within the first day or two playing casually?
Cause I got alts on alts on alts

without the puns after you unlock the part of icecrown you will have wold bosses to kill a day to get 100ilvl gear and some scourge stones

Haha one would hope not. That isn’t ketchup at that stage, that’s just an alternative to M+

From what I heard, it is gear on par with normal raid tier in ilvl. So I wouldn’t worry about it too much, that will replacing that in the first zone of SLs. I started replacing my heroic raid gear around zone 2/3 and mythic in the last zone.

I did some of the event on the PTR a while back, so if it’s not changed too much since then…
Without getting into specifics to avoid spoilers; once you get the breadcrumbs to go back to an old zone, there will be daily quests and every half an hour a rare will spawn that has a chance to drop item level 100 gear.
This can take either not very long or very long depending on how lucky you get with drops.
I personally will only be doing the event once for any exclusive items, as while it’s not hard in any way, the timegates and RNG involved to get catchup gear won’t make it worth doing on a handful of alts.
that 34 slot bag will be fun hunting for

Blizzard had the foresight to give me restraint and not farm it 11 times.
