Myself: Level 64. Still in 1st zone. Doing all the extra side quest story lines for the rep/achievement. I think I have 1 main story questline and 1 side story questline left. But I had to get off because I know I will be woken up early tomorrow by my fur kids(2 Siberian Huskies). Sucks when you don’t have the freedom to stay up late because you don’t have the freedom to sleep in. But 4 levels I am pretty happy with. Plan to take my time, spend a few days and go through each zone - exploring everything, uncovering all of the map, getting the dragonriding sigils in each zone as I do them etc.
Hopefully tomorrow the servers will be better, did battle the “world server is down”, no boat at first, and random disconnects when Dragonriding.
Kind of wish we had 3 weeks until raid though, doing this toon as my old original main, then have to do my raiding toon(though wont care to do everything side quest wise on her).
Maybe 63? I take things slow, do the side quests mostly, and gather.
I also maxed fishing right away. Something I always do.
Tip: Go max it in the lava pools in the first zone. You can fish up lava beetles and salt that you need for cooking mats. Crafting those spices in the cooking tab gives a great bit of cooking skills. You also get rare fire crafting mats, tons of vendor greys, and coal. Sometimes a rare fish.
Worth it to slow down and do those together.
Edit
If your server is stable, remember to log in on each of your max level alts to get their rested XP going.
65 and about halfway through the centaur zone. I’ve only been doing a few side quests since they seem to generally take a lot longer to complete than main quests.
I’ve been taking time to play around with dragon riding too, completing all the races in the first zone and about half way through the second one’s as well.
Still need to farm glyphs but I’m thinking I’ll just get the ones I find leveling and look up the locations of the rest at 70.
I got to 63 then had to tap out because my gaming stamina isn’t what it used to be. I was lucky to have gotten in fast and only one DC for the five hours I played. I’m liking it so far and am actually interested in the story now that it’s not about Horde/Alliance or Sylvanas BS. Leveling feels great and things seem to be well-tuned, coming from a solo player perspective. Also can’t wait to bring in my hunter for all the new tames.
Stopped leveling once I got dragonriding and went to get all of the glyphs. Then I went back and leveled to 64. Still in the first zone. Been doing a few side quests as I come to them because I know there isn’t enough XP in the campaign quests alone to hit 70 from playing the Beta.
I just woke up at 1:45am est or so, currently halfway to 62. Planning on hitting 70 before I sleep again. Would have leveled last night, but I ended up going to bed right as they finally fixed the boat, lol.
So far I’m struggling to level. I was in the beta and wasn’t motivated to quest at all. Thought it was because I didn’t want to do it and lose the progress. But I don’t feel like doing it now either.
Just saved an egg from the primalists and it’s a complete rip off of that Badlands quest. The dragon even dies to sacrifice herself to save the egg. This entire thing so far seems like a rip off of Cataclysm.
My progress stopped cold here because it was like watching organic street fights break out. There was always a new contender. Some of the players would walk around and do nothing for a minute before exploding. I couldn’t figure out what this was about. They were scouting for sitting characters or other indicators of being afk to jump on a free kill
64 got 100 skinning still first zone, really enjoying the dragon riding, though it’s really showing how bad soar is in comparison, it just feels pointless honestly. Quest writing is decent though it definitely feels like it wasn’t written with the player character being a Dracthyr in mind for most of the quest but a veteran of the game. Which is fine.
Really enjoying the game though, and it’s very relaxing experience compared to shadowlands. I’m glad to be back in Azeroth.
