I can’t figure out what I need to open covenant transmog across my characters. I have all covenants maxxed on at least one character. What transmog items will share to other characters of the same armor type under what conditions? I’m confused because of:
Kyrian was leveled on my shaman. My hunter was Night Fae and already had access to the “Aspirant’s Regalia” sets before ever being Kyrian. I swapped the hunter to Kyrian and leveled renoun to 80, but I seem to have only gained the renoun title? Am I missing something?
My hunter also already has access to the Inquisitor’s Vestments and Court Attire sets. (Venthyr sets.) The hunter has never been Venthyr and so these sets have to be sharing from my demon hunter. But obviously, the demon hunter is leather and my hunter mail. Is there anything more to be gained from switching the hunter to Venthyr?
I would love if someone can clear up exactly how it works. I feel like every article I see has out of date or conflicting info. Thanks in advance!
Once you reach renown 80 with your covenant with one character, you can normally use the t-mog of that covenant on any character, as far as they are unlocked, and the char must be in the covenant, else it need to get to 80 himself to get access without being tied to that covenent. The best way to have everything unlocked is to level all covenants on a char. If you have some issues with it, i don’t know how to help you since it work fine on my side.
Unlocking the 9.0 mail set of the Venthyr,

Covenant cosmetics are unlocked account-wide once you reach 80 renown with that covenant. Armor type restrictions remain. So you can use those flavor sets on a character of any armor type, but you can’t use the mail transmogs on a leather wearer and vice versa.

Do you still unlock all the transmogs if you use the “alts skip” for renoun? Meaning the item which immediately puts your renoun to 60?
Being more specific, with the Venthyr example above, my demon hunter did the whole covenant quest line and got the renoun (and a leather transmog set) that way. If my hunter uses the renoun to 60 item, will she still get the mail version of the same set my demon hunter got the leather one of while leveling?
The armor types must be earned separately, so technically you will need to max out all covenant activities on one character of each armor type if you want all 9.0 covenant armor appearances. (This would equate to doing 16 full covenant campaigns and maxing out 16 covenant sanctums/activities.)
The 9.1 appearances earned in Korthia and from Renown higher than 60, however, are armor type agnostic and only need to be earned once.

Example: I have a night fae druid. If I unlock the armour by completing the campaign, and I reach renown 80, all my leather alts can now use that set.
Now I have a night fae hunter. The hunter does not have access to the mail night fae set, until she also completed the campaign. Only once she reaches renown 80, can my shaman and dracthyr access the mog.
So all in all, to unlock 4 armour types on each covenant, you’ll need to complete 16 covenant campaigns. (Actually the final piece drops from the penultimate quest, before the final scenario, so it’s not quite the complete campaign).

So each set can only be acquired by doing the quests themselves and won’t be awarded from using the 60 renoun boost? However, if you have another character(s) of that armor type, the set will be shared to them just from each of the same armor type characters themselves reaching renoun 80?
This is great information everyone! Thank you much for these specifics!

Note that there is one set per covenant unlocked with renown: the cosmetic set that all armor types can use.
You can also buy recollect of the quest sets with anima and grateful offerings if you have more of that than time to do the quest lines.
