How Exactly.. Did Torga Get Killed? (Spoilers.)

Like seriously, I find it hard to believe a giant, wise turtle got killed by blood trolls to apparently expedite their plans when Hir’eek was converted… like let’s put it into perspective for a moment… a GIANT turtle capable of becoming a forward operating base for these rodents is just killed yet they apparently have the intellectual capacity to revive Taloc? Not to mention they convert one of the most useless Loa’s ever- a bat that got yeeted by poison and the PC while Krag’wa began erasing these guys by the bushels. So my main questions are… why would they kill Torga instead of utilizing him- and how? He could have had so much potential for diabolical deeds!

Possibly a big blood magic spell followed by a lot of cleavers?

Lots and lots and lots of cleavers.

How?

Hir’eek got weakened/corrupted by feeding on corrupted blood.

Hir’eek got weakened by the player character shivving him in the neck with a poisoned blade. Rezan was made into one of the most terrifying jurassic park rip-offs current to date by a blood magic spell. Anyway, the fact that loa are able to be corrupted and the precedent seems to be that blood trolls do like to utilize loa you’d honestly figure that they would have made Torga into something similar to Galleon and the Saurok.

They might have tried and Torga was able to resist the attempts.

The real question is why hasn’t Sylvanas resurrected the corpse as a giant undead fortress yet?

Plausible- but at the same time it raises the question. “How does a giant turtle resist? Does he spin?”

Great idea! Let’s make it a Forsaken bat carrier so we can increase our naval power again.

Why would the blood trolls abandon their god?

Man, I had been gone from the game for a while until recently. Forgot quite a bit. So I’m in Kul Tiras booping around and see a Rare turtle. ‘Oh neat, lets see what loot it has’, I say to myself. Everything was going great until it started spinning.

Turtles don’t spin you guys. I literally yelped at my monitor.

Torga is kind of like Shen-zin Su. So big that it’s hard to defend himself against a bunch of small things. He was a peaceful loa, more interested in telling stories than doing much of anything else, but the tortollan you follow during the zone quests does mention that they had to fight the blood trolls the last time there was a meeting to listen to the stories.

The tortollans are resourceful, but they don’t understand immediacy very well. They don’t go anywhere fast, or do anything spontaneously. Even with Torga under attack for some time, it took way too long for the tortollans to get there. The blood trolls were probably waiting for Torga to come back after the last defeat, and struck Torga while he was beached on land and vulnerable.

I’d link the Penny Arcade comic about Shadow of the Colossus, but it has naughty language and the forum police might arrest me.

just google Penny Arcade “soul glow” or Shadow of the Colossus.

It is good that you labeled your post for spoilers. But it would have been better if you didn’t also put the spoiler in the title. Or at least put the word “spoiler” before the spoiler.

They probably used catapults.

Probably because it would piss off the Zandalari and the Horde wouldn’t get their fleet.

Maybe Torga thought dying would make for an interesting story.

Man I had that problem with KH3 spoilers being suggested to me on youtube. The idiots put the most spoilery title possible and some didn’t even bother with the spoiler tag. It’s how I learned that Kairi is still a disappointment.

On topic: same way you kill anything big, get inside it and hack away. That or just attack the weakpoints on the outside, it’s not like something as lumbering as a turtle could really stop you.

Spoilers do have a statute of limitations though, and Torga’s story in BfA has been available for six and a half months. It’s also possible to see it in the very first zone you play in for the Horde.

Yeah but I think the point is if you’re going to put a spoiler warning in your title maybe don’t put the spoiler as the title? OP could have made it something as simple as “what happened to Torga?” or “Torga question” and the spoiler tag would have indicated to be wary of the discussion.

I know I’m showing my age, but, what?

Well, I didn’t read something labeled as a spoiler. If it has been open to everyone for a while, that’s not a problem. Though, why then label is a spoiler at all?

/shrug

Labeling spoilers is a personal preference by the thread author informed by public opinion on the matter. There are no hard rules for it. Your mileage may vary, etc.
