I have 48 alts (at least one of each spec) that I throw at various mount farms, and I’ve run into one of the more unique barriers I’ve ever seen. I’m going to ask the conventional wisdom on the forums how they’ve passed it, if at all, on some classes.
In sanctum of domination, as part of clearing the way to the eye of the jailer, there is a floating “deathseeker eye” being channeled at by four “Mawsworn infusers.” All one has to do is nick them and the infusers will agro, and for the two close to you as you approach, that’s easy: just walk up and murder them. You have to kill all four infusers in order to harm the deathseeker eye.
But there are two infusers that are literally just beyond 40 yards away, on the other side of a repulsing aura coming from the infused eye. In my experience, a class has to be able to reach further just a hair further than 40 yards to agro these guys. Without swapping specs, my arcane mage can’t do it, because the other two mages do it by throwing their reticle-based aoe spell over and just baaaarely nicking the toes of the further infusers. This trick also works for shaman and their capacitor totem.
Monk has nothing that I’ve seen.
Warrior has nothing.
I have yet to go back with an evoker and try the deep breath variation each spec has which has a 50 yard range but also moves the character which I’m guessing will not work.
Haven’t tried with demon hunter yet, but I imagine they have nothing. Maybe their reticle based AOE I imagine.
Can’t think of anything for rogue, or paladin.
Am I missing something? I imagine raids had someone that could do this, but for soloists it appears to be a hard stop for some specs and some entire classes.
If you’ve soloed this, how? If I’m missing something obvious, please tell me!
Thanks in advance!
