How does tricks of the trade work

It is a confusing ability

It’s best to macro it to your focus target. But when you activate it all threat you would generate by doing damage gets directed towards your focus target

It’s great on big so pulls where you night pull aggro but it great for skiddish weeks for mythic +

It’s a buff you place on another player that lasts for 30 seconds. The moment you attack, a 6 second timer begins. All the threat you generate in those 6 seconds will instead go to the player you placed Tricks of the Trade on.

It only transfers the rogues threat?

Yes, just the rogue who casts it.

I find it really useful in warfronts. Cast it on a mage and go ham on the pack of adds they just pulled. Nobody is pulling threat off them after that.

It’s amazing in LFR when you want to kill an arrogant tank. Just run in, tricks and AOE everything, vanish. Might get you booted, but you take your chances eh? At least you got that tank good.

Also pretty fun to Trix a healer friend to mess with them. The expletives will fly and you’ll get a good giggle out of it.

I do that too lol, you would see the entire group all just charge the rando that you cast it on

My and a guildy got quite drunk one night and we’re doing time walking. We were both on rogues, we kept casting tricks on the other dps an watching the entire pull 1 hit him lol

Does it work well with skittish btw? this previous week didnt really help my tank keep agro.

Skittish is a rogues week, every one wants us in their groups. We help the tank by not only avoiding aggro but directly towards them
