So, it seems like if I renewing mist(RM) a target and then cast a second RM on them that it will bump the first RM to another target if and only if there is a target within 20 yards who isn’t at max HP. Otherwise it will pandemic 30% of the first RM with the second RM.
And I’d want to do this when I want to put mastery healing into a target that already has RM on it.
E.g.
Two targets. Target A is at 40% HP and target B in at 80% HP and within 20 yards of target A. If I double tap RM into target A then target A will get two mastery procs and each target will have renewing mist on them.
Is that correct?
If you ReM the same target twice, yes you will Gust onto them twice also. The other thing casting ReM onto a target that already has it will just add time to its duration. You’re seeing ReM jump to another ally likely because they’re either at 100% health and it hops in the same time. Or, more likely, you’re using the Dancing Mist talent which gives ReM a chance to duplicate when it heals or is cast.
If you want to apply a Gust to an ally with ReM, you really should use Vivify first because you should be using Vivacious Vivification in the class tree that gives you an instant cast of Vivify every 10s (this is on an internal timer not affected by haste).
If you really need to apply a lot of healing to them in a short time, I’d use Thunder Focus Tea (TFT) + Enveloping Mist (EnvM) because TFT will make EnvM instant-cast, and duplicate all of its hot heal at the initial cast followed by the hot itself.
Both Vivify and Enveloping Mist apply a Gust to the target too.
Nope, I’ve tested on the healing dummies with 1% HP. The second cast pushes the RM off on to a near by target.
