How does raid lockout works? Legit question

If you dont finish the entire raid – for example, your raid team dont kill MC’s Rag --, and you join another raid team on the other day, without the raid being reset, will the other bosses you already killed be there and you wont be eligible for loot?

In classic i’m not sure, but basically if you’re locked to a raid instances you can’t even enter the same raid as people who aren’t,so if you’ve killed the first boss in a raid you wont be able to do a ‘‘fresh’’ raid till reset.

You can’t join someone else’s ID if you have a prior ID. You’re locked to the first one until it expires. That’s the entire point. If they don’t have one, then they can join yours, but it’s unlikely anyone will want to do that because then they’d miss out on all the bosses you have dead for that reset period.

If you open your raid tab, you will see on the top right it gives you the option to click on a raid tab, In that tab it will show you what raids you’re locked to.

That raid ID is unique to anyone who was in raid with you and it can’t be changed, you can’t join a raid that’s not that raid ID.
