How does Frozen Orb work?

Sometimes it only goes a short distance, other times it goes very far away…

Also, what CC does remove curse work against? hex, anything else?
and how long does “Winters Chill” last from flurry?

Frozen Orb goes in a straight line until it hits a target. Then it slows to a crawl in that spot until it times out. if you miss all targets it flies off into the eether never to be seen again. Got a few talents that beef it up a bit. Can instant cast blizzard when it damages something. Each tick of blizzard will lower the CD on Frozen Orb. Also it looks cool flying across a room. That’s probably the most important part :slight_smile:

Been a bit but I think remove curse works against nearly every debuff cast by a player. For example all warlock curses, and dots. Some dots explode for damage when decursed/purged. this is annoying in PvP as a mage, great as a warlock.

Winters chill last about 6 seconds for each charge I think. Max of two charges at a time. You use them to increase the damage of icelance as it will treat the target as it’s frozen.

I was thinking the longer you hold it down, the further it goes? for frozen orb?

Remove Curse doesn’t really work against most crowd control effects other than warlock curses. There are PVE curses as well that no player can use, but most crowd control effects are either physical (nets, Hamstring, etc.) or magical (Hammer of Justice, Polymorph, etc.). Hex is a magical effect, not a curse.

Nope. You click or press your keybind, and it shoots forward from your position until it hits an obstacle or an enemy. If it hits an enemy, it slows down immensely until it runs out. If it hits an obstacle, it spins in place until it runs out.

Frost Mage is pretty much a melee class in high keyes. You need to be close to aim your orb for max damage. You need to be close to get stops with Dragon’s breath and blast wave. Casting at range just gets the group wiped because you have 2 less stops and your orb is likely to whiff the whole d**n pack!

Other than maybe the last boss in halls of infusion what are we so desperately hard stopping this season?
