How does Fae Guardians - Haunted Mask work?

Wondering how the follow up of this ability works??

Shadow spec btw.

Fae Guardians give 2 buffs and one debuff.

If you hit the button while you have an enemy targeted, both buffs go to you, and the debuff goes on your target.

If you hit the button while you have an ally targeted, both buffs go to the ally, and the debuff goes to the closest enemy.

You can then move those buffs/debuffs around using the spells mentioned:

Using Shadowmend will move the cooldown fairy from whoever it currently is on to your shadowmend target.

Using Power Word: Shield will move the defense fairy to whoever you used PW:S on.

Using Shadow Word: Pain will move the debuff fairy to whoever you cast SW:P on.

The legendary mask can be placed on any target - and it doubles whatever fairies are on that target. So, if you put the mask on the debuffed target, you get 6 insanity instead of 3 per tick. If you put it on the cooldown fairy, you get 2x the cooldown rate on a major cooldown. It also follows the same logic as the fairies. If you use Fae Guardians while targeting an enemy, it automatically puts the mask on the target. If targeting an ally, it automatically puts the mask on them, and you’ll have to manually move it afterwards.

The only thing to note here, is how cooldown fairy works: Essentially, you start with 100% CDR So a 10s cooldown is 10s. The fairy turns this into 200%. So a 10s cooldown is now 5s. The mask turns this to 300% - so a 10s cooldown becomes 2.5s.

However - it only does that cooldown for the 20s it’s active, and major cooldowns are all 2-3 mins. So really how you can think of it, is you’re subtracting 20s from your cooldown for the fairy, and fairy+mask is 40s from your cooldown.

When it says ‘a major cooldown’ it basically means the big DPS or healing cooldown for that class. For Spriest, if you plan to use the fairy for yourself, it’ll be reducing void eruption.
