Does it last for the bleeds full duration, or just the rest of the remaining duration?
If I cast a new bleed during the spells “pandemic” period, will it override my exsanguinate?
Does it work on necrolords bone spike?
Is the talent worth the added complexity over Alacrity?
I am just trying to see if I can maximize the usage, but I dont fully get it yet.

Make sure your bleed duration is as long as possible. Start with 5 cp Rupture followed by Garotte. Hit Exsaguinate. Don’t refresh bleeds. I believe doing so will over ride Exsanguinate.
You can test it on a target dummy.
Exsanguinate is a 10% dps loss when compared to the passive haste talent, Alacrity. Even the other talent that makes your mutilate cost 8 less energy gives like 6% more total dps
That is just depressing, such excellence when a mindless passive works out better than a set-up required activated ability…
Maybe its not for sustained dps. Maybe its for securing a kill.
Just cause alacrity gives more dps doesn’t always mean it’s better. Right now the meta is burst, and a subterfuge garrote, with a rupture with exsanguinate is pretty nasty damage in a short period.
Stack vers and mastery and that’s some hard hitting ticks
I was wondering about Exsangunguinate, anyone finding it useful in pvp? I haven’t even tried it in SL

I’m using it most of the times unless it’s going to be a healer exhaustion match. I wish it had no energy cost though.
It works by switching your talent to alacrity.
It’s good for gimmick 1 shot out of vanish builds if you garrote/rupture and exsanguinate before vanish then envenom out of stealth with full cps. reliant on mark of the master assassin and long cds. alacrity nets better overall gameplay because energy regen.
That 10% is over a 5+ minute boss fight. Exsanguine is over a few seconds. That huge burst is what secures the kill.
