How does Elemental reproduction work?

I just found an article and now I’m a little confused.

Pyroth claims to be the son of Rhyolith. How is it that Rhyolith was able to bear children? I’m really confused.

Well, when an Elemental Daddy and an Elemental Mommy really like each other…

Okay, on a more serious note. It could be something simple as Rhyolith splitting off a portion of himself. Maybe getting with another elemental as the two of them split off some of their energy and combine it.

Fire Elementals are actually hot, sentient fungi who mostly spread through mitosis, but occasionally groups of haploid mycelia around the rectal opening are exposed to large (n>5) doses of Θ+ arcane quarks, which leads to rapid mutation and hybridization of the mutant lines. The parent elemental then forms a spore-filled tumor on the posterior end before releasing their progeny in rapid, explosive events colloquially termed “great ashen farts.”

Kind of how the breakers are descendants of Grond.

You do see elemental reproduction sometimes and they really do just split off from each other. I imagine it is actually that simple, they just take some of their essence and break into smaller elementals.

What are you expecting… a SCIENTIFIC explanation here?

It happened… that’s as much explanation as you’re going to get.

Princess Theradras did the nasty with a keeper of the grove and created the whole centaur race, there’s a chance it happens just like the other races and I would prefer not to think about it

Then again she’s earth elemental type creature and earth contains all of the stuff that live bodies are made out of. Think of her as a female version of Grome.
