Wow is not even in my top 10 video games. I’m a gamer, not a wow player, there is a difference.

Swap to a game you find enjoyable, Minecraft for example!
Craft, build, survive!

WoW is below average compared to how good it was. I don’t know how anybody could be addicted to mediocrity

Sell your pc for a Mac

Delete all your toons and uninstall the game, including the Battle.net launcher.

Just uninstall. If you ever feel like reinstalling because you feel like you need to, just remember the time required to download and update the game and that should put you off quick enough.

Delete account.

I deleted my last account since it was 8 years.
I have d3 and d2 ressurrected. I dont want lose the money.

Last psichologist said that I am autist, this is why I cant stop play, but i didnt get diagnostic of neuro yet.

It’s actually easy, play a single player game that is time consuming if you rather spend zombie free time (or what I like to call the time others binge netflix) playing video games and you’ll find it difficult to find time to play wow.

I have been catching up on my steam backlog and haven’t seen five minutes of DF yet. First season of any expac is always a bit flakey anyways.

Play Destiny 2. You’ll spend a lot more money there believe me!

weeps over bank account

Just here to say I relate sometimes. I love WoW and will always consider it my favorite game of all time, but there’s been times I wish I could get into other games without missing WoW so much. I’ve played WoW everyday for the last about 5 years or so. I’m happy to do so now because we just got DF and it’s amazing, but there will come a time again where I will struggle with WoW addiction problems.

Last expansion cured me of my addiction and this xpac, although is fun 3days after each reset is losing its luster.

Same as any other addiction, a whole lot of will power. If you’re earnest in your desire to quit, then you have to do everything in your power to stay away.

Find other things to fill the time that WoW usually does for you, healthy things. Try your best to stick to that and eventually it’ll become habit.

The best way to get rid of any addiction that you have come to terms with not wanting anymore is to find something else to do that can fill the time; and is also fulfilling.

The hardest part about breaking an addiction is beginning a different routine. But if you already have something that is interesting to you, you can build off of that and try to apply it and to more of your life.

Even if it’s not as fulfilling or interesting as the addiction you are giving up, that’s where the willpower comes in. Just force yourself to get into whatever the secondary activity is more. Eventually it might start growing on you more and your addiction will seem more meaningless.

You cannot overcome it by stopping.

Is there a subjectively better game?

Is there something more important for you than gaming?

If the answer is no, then there is no reason for you to switch games or stop playing.
