How do you use command pet?

I just hit level 38 and learned “command pet”. How does it work? I can’t figure it out. I’ve read posts off of google that say it doesn’t work?

Certain pets have unique abilities that you can use. Refer to www . wow-petopia .com for a list. For example, spirit beasts can cast a heal.

The Command Pet varies between pet spec, like Ferocity gives a Lust, Tenacity gives a damage reduction and cunning gives a cc-cleanse.

But how do you use/activate it? I can click on it all day both in combat and out and it does nothing. It just stays grayed out.

From your profile, it shows you as level 40.

Command Pet is an ability that changes depending on what spec your current pet has.

However, even though you have the Command Pet-ability available to you. The actual abilities that it connects to, depending on what pet you use, will not be available to you for a while.

For example:

Primal Rage(Ferocity) - requires you to be level 68 to be able to use.

Survival of the Fittest(Tenacity) - I cannot actually find any level requirements for this one so, you can try to get a Tenacity pet now, as it appears that you will be able to have that ability as early as level 38(when you get the Command Pet-ability).

Master’s Call(Cunning) - requires you to be level 74 to be able to use.

Conclusion:
Up until level 68, the only way you can get something useful for your Command Pet-ability, is for you to tame and use a Tenacity pet for Survival of the Fittest.
