How do you unlock the portal to Zandalar?

I can’t find my new toon in the character selector for these forums so I’ll just use this guy.
I just made a trial 110 level survival hunter and then unlocked him with a boost. I can’t use the portal to Zandalar in the Org portal room for some reason. What do I need to do?
All the other portals are working for me. I went through the discussion of the allied races in the embassy but whenever I try to talk to Sylvanas now she just tells me that blah blah blah. The time for war is at hand." No other options. If I talk to the allied race reps they just tell me about themselves like normal. Same with their banners. What am I missing?
I’m trying to start questing to unlock the new trolls.

Not sure on Horde but Alliance have to take a ship to Boralus the first time and go through quests with Magi for the necklace and I think one Azerite piece. We can’t just be in Stormwind and portal over there.

I think you need to go to do some combination of Battle for Lordearon, Dying World (to get the heart), and do the scenario to break out Saurfang (which gets you contact with the Trolls) before you can get to Zuldazar.

When talking to the NPC’s about Zandalar thing, Remember that there are 2 options, Click on the 2nd one to bypass the scenario’s and move on to the next one, there are several NPC’s who have this 2nd option, (I’ve already read this chapter or something like that will be the 2nd option)

So I just transferred my 120 wl to horde and had the same problem. The portal to Zandalar was not working. I asked about 20-30 people, and they either did not know or just guessed it was some quest, although they did not know which. So… I decided to go there by ship and check it out. There was no quest available for me, so I gave up. The next day I decided to go back again and just went to the Zanchun temple and killed the beasts, this seemed to have triggered a quest that wanted me to go to ORG via the Silvermoon Portal and talk to Sylvanas. I did that, and this starts the Zandalar Questsequence where you bring back Princess Talanji to King Rastakhan, and this questline is exactly what you need to do to be able to unlock the Portal.

I’d hearthed back to Orgrimmar before unlocking the portals in Zandalar. I found I could use the ship departing from the south side of the Echo Isles in Durotar to get back to Zandalar.
