The new one is REALLY bad compared to the old one. any way to change it back?

If you just mean the campfire scene, you can drag the 4 characters down into the rest of the list to disable it and see one character at a time again.
If you mean the rest of the new setup, then no.

I enjoy the warbands but I do wish I could organize it by server.

I think it’s an order of magnitude better. So I am happy with it. No, there’s no way to change it back.

Me too.
But I could see why people who played multiple servers or many, many alts would be unhappy.
Also I had a bunch of level 1s from different servers and every time I’d delete them I’d have to “reconnect to Blizzard services” lmao
And then it bugged out and I had to restart the client to actually log in.
But these are teething pains.
I do hope they add some kind of filters to be able to sort through my characters a bit better.
I had it so that my Horde characters are on one server, Alliance another, and MoP a third. I started running out of name ideas a while ago so I have a few doubles and I see my long list and my eyes kind of just glaze over.
But I think the camp site thing is cool.

I mean, it’s not that bad. Add a few more collapsible ordered lists, improve the search option, and it will look cleaner.

I set up my Warband by both armor type and my favorite classes to play by that armor type.
So I have my fav Cloth, Leather, Mail, Plate classes as my warband.

I now have all my healers at the top followed by range, melee and tanks at bottom. But my healer list is so long (3 Resto Druid, 3 Resto Shaman, 4 Healer Priests, 3 Mistweavers, 1 Evoker, 1 Holy Paladin) and then my range list is like 5 Warlocks, 4 Mages, 4 Hunters etc etc lol It’s a bit much
If the login screen becomes modable I suspect a bunch of sorting mods to appear eventually.

You do understand every character on your account in in your Warband right? Not just the 4 Favorites.
there’s nothing really stopping you from doing that… (other than having to sift through a mountain of characters, and read the fine print to find which server they’re on)
Yes.
But I thought we are talking about the lineup you get… the visual representation that mimics how Diablo 2 and beyond does it. Those are only limited to 4.
