How do you think it works?

One of the greatest things about art is how anyone can look at something, anything, and come up with their own meaning, interpretation. Another avenue of self expression.

So how do you interpret your character?

  • Does your character heal using happy thoughts?
  • Is your Warrior more brains than strength?
  • Does your Death Knight see something completely different than those around them?

For example this Rogue.

Blade Flurry causes my attacks to cleave around me, including my gun.

With that, I believe my character’s bullet ricochet skill is legendary.

Somehow able to ricochet off my main target and hit everyone around me with a single shot.

How about you?

lmao.

My priests are all bitter and rage filled so each penance bolt is like a healy punch in the face. Like yeah, they heal, but they wouldn’t have to if you’d stop standing in the extremely noticeable and 100% avoidable stuff on the ground.

I tore my own tongue from my mouth to stop from tasting the rot.

I carry incense on me at all times to mask the smell.

I bathe in pesticide once a week to kill any maggots.

I could avoid all of this by turning to the Shadow. Prolonged usage of the Light as an undead gradually sharpens your senses back toward what they were in life, to say nothing of the pain even its gentlest touch instills, like thrusting your hand into a vat of acid, or throwing yourself on a raging pyre.

But death took everything else from me. My home, my family, my future.

It cannot have my faith.

My characters are like the ordinary npc who stumble upon epic legendary possesions to become the hero of azeroth. literally thats how the gameplay content is all along.

To express this art, my characters wear npc lookalike mog with epic unique weapon

I have a fun headcannon with my Priest character.

See, she’s Holy main spec. I love healing dungeons and such, but I had to go Shadow to quest. And while I don’t RP, I do kind of give my characters personalities if that makes sense. And it was so out of character for her to go Shadow, so…

I came up with a solution: She has multiple personality disorder, and occasionally dips into her dark side to get needed things done that she’s normally unable to do herself due to her moral conscience. :stuck_out_tongue:

Since I quest solo, this identity is kept secret (in headcannon anyway lol), since she’s always Holy in group content. I can’t decide if the character herself even knows about it or not.

I have other little quirks with my characters, but that one’s probably my favorite.

I love Druid mechanically, but hate it thematically so I pretend mine is a victorian era Jeckyll/Hyde type of character who transforms into the werebear form with alchemy rather than gross hippie magic.

I try not to get lost in the fantasy in world of warcraft because it feels almost impossible(to me) to immerse myself in a world where the characters randomly pop into dungeons in and out, with a bunch of other characters and never once speak about what just happened.

I used to love immersion, like when you download a bunch of mods to make Skyrim feel real. But it isn’t real and no amount of addons can make me ignore the bugs and pitfalls of NPC interactions.

I play shaman because its fun, if they turned my water spells into grape soda, it wouldn’t effect me at all.

I’m happy people aren’t as picky as me when it comes to immersion and can just meld right into the fantasy of these types of games but the reality will always be far too present for me to ignore.

Except for that absolutely not being how art works. It is how being self-absorbed and self important works though. I would lead with that. Maybe edit your post.

I like to think Elmyouu’s rejuvenations come out of his bottom

Then if someone’s rude to him I think, well fine, they’ve been sniffing his gas for an hour and the methane poisoning is probably getting to them

Kinda tricky on MM, since most of the abilities are ‘point gun, shoot’ in a variety of ways. I consider Steady Shot being like snap shots while you’re relocating, Aimed Shot taking a proper stance and lining up a shot, Arcane Shot (and other shots) being loading an enchanted/HE slug, and traps shoving various objects into a mechanized trap.

For Lunar Storm, I use the headcannon that Guuah’s mechanical whelp, Ticker, is firing the beams from a mouth-mounted plasma cannon, and the residual energy of the blast causing the DoT. It makes a lot more sense than 'I know lunar magic now  '. Also serves the role of the ‘eagle’.

That’s how I worked all that out!

I stand in the most metal power stance in the game.

I then throw ice at things with a wicked sidearm while winding up throwing the devil horns.

This stuff writes itself.

My faith in the Holy Light is so strong that I don’t need no stinkin’ armor.

I’ve never been a RP, which is a funny coincidence considering the realm I’m on, but I just imagine my character just brute forces every thing because I’m a 10-foot tall angry bovine.

I always thought the Forsaken Priest lore was interesting.

Curious. Does your character communicate through telepathy, writing on someone’s hand, or they just don’t.

Fascinating character, nice work.

lmao.
