How do you think devs can avoid "Deathwing 2.0" with Galakrond?

This is only pure speculation, but if Galakrond is revived, and knowing his size dwarfing all other dragons as in the cinematic, how do you think they can avoid creating a horrible fight like spine of DW and aspects/players vs head of DW?

This time we go inside and fight there.

We are doing the Ant-man scenario lol.

I don’t want Galakrond or Murozand.

I want Chromatus. The 5 headed dragon with the power of all 5 fights.

Galakrond’ just being a giant ugly zombie dumb monster sounds boring as a big bad

I refuse to shrink. We make him BIGGER!

I’m hoping Sylvanus is the final boss of the expansion

It seems hard to do a big boss like that without having it be a bit of an “environment” fight, or one where you’re hacking away at their legs.

What they aren’t telling you…

Just as there is a new lightning storm dragon primalist

There is also a new earth primalist dragon, “Iridikron”

Iridikron is being setup as bigger and badder than razagath. Note how they “fear his hunger”

Not only does he share the same element as Deathwing, earth. “Hunger” is often related to the void too.

If anyone is being set up for Deathwing 2.0 it’s Iridikron.

Galakrond was bigger than deathwing too… He was the size of mountains.

Using some McGuffin acquired in the next-to-last patch’s raid, all raid members are temporarily transformed into full sized dragons, making player-to-boss scale ratio about the same as normal.

Mid-expansion twist: It’s The Jailer again! ZoZo’s BACK! Double down at this point, I say.

Galakrond himself is a very different entity with very different goals.

It helps that his body isn’t fractured apart, to our knowledge.

You don’t wanna know where they’re going to send us to fight on Galakrond’s body this time…

“He didn’t see his dragon doctor every 2 years, champions! You can exploit this weakness!”

it is literally just bones at the moment. Even more far gone than sindragosa when Arthas raised her.

Galakrond is going to be a passing thought.

Even at max potential, he was defeated by the aspects BEFORE they got a power boost.

Yes, we are missing some aspects and they don’t have their powers currently, but galakrond would need a serious power boost to be a contender.

Razagath is the youngest of the primalist, one of the older ones “iridikron” is shaping up to be the big baddie.

Not only is he tied to earth and feared for his hunger. We seemingly will be venturing underground in 10.1 maybe to discover Iridikrons lair.

Galakrond is already big enough that we could have a full 12 boss raid inside and still have plenty of room to spare. could probably get two whole raid tiers just crawling around his insides.

I wonder what 12 body parts we fight…do you think he has 2 lungs we fight separately or at the same time.

Honestly not looking forward to bladder phase 2…

Dragonsoul was short and a tad underwhelming but conceptually it was fine. It’s more that it was overshadowed by Firelands. I’m guessing you haven’t actually done it when it was current content.
There’s nothing suggesting galakrond is getting revived so not sure where you’re getting any of this from lol.

:+1:

They invented Iridikron as a Galakrond 2.0 so they could both avoid resurrecting Galakrond AND so they could make a Galakrond 2.0 would making him too big to fight.

He very well may be the final boss of this expansion, especially after Danuser confirmed the Titans are not evil and that the waters were not mind-control, but simply halted chaotic (evil) tendencies.

Could have Malygos 2.0 instead, but rather than random red drakes we’re riding our dragon riding mounts.
