How do you stop automatic quest tracking?

I want the quest tracker to only track quests when I tell it to track a quest.

I often just have quests in my quest log that I’ll do later but I don’t want to actively track them and everytime I log in they get tracked for some reason.

Does anyone know the setting to turn this off or an addon that has this function?

Thats weird, cause i have quests untracked (some that been sitting for long funny enough) and they never really get tracked on their own unless i make progress on them.

I don’t know if it still works, but you could disable using this command

/run C_CVar.SetCVar("autoQuestWatch", 0)

Then /reload. Give it a try…

If it’s a quest you accept just untrack it. If you’re talking about when you go into a zone where a quest is auto accepted… well if you find the answer please tell me because I HATE those. Or if you go into a zone and a quest giver follows you around until you take the quest. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Quick version is to shift-click any you dont want to track.

I just play with the quest log minimized. I never see anything I’m not currently working on. Everything is on the map now anyways.
