How do you spot a Worgen?

I’m asking from a lore perspective. How can you tell if someone is a Worgen?

I know in game it just straight up labels them as such, but if we’re going off of lore, is there anything about a Worgen in human form that gives them away? Or lets you know something isn’t right about them?

I just think the idea that a Worgen could slip into a society completely unnoticed is really cool. Like a secret agent

Get them in combat and see if they transform.

Smell them, if they smell like a dog they either take care of dogs or are a worgen.

Get them to speak

Make them angry.

You wouldn’t like them when they’re angry.

While I don’t think there is a clear cut answer on this one. I think there are a few subtle hints. Like them wearing looser fitting clothes to accommodate their transformations, behavior seeming a bit off/animalistic even in human form. A few small habits that they have in worgen form translating over to human. Things like that.

I saw the title and was expecting a punchline /disappointed

If it were truly lore. I’d suppose it’s the steam punk Victorian esque style of clothing

I wish worgen human form had special customisations akin to Greymane’s design in HotS. With the pointed ears and general beastly appearance.

The amount of times I’ve forgotten someone is a worgen in roleplay and then see them transform… It’s pretty kewl.

So far…this is my favorite thread of the day

If you can find where they live, look for dog hair. Werewolves shed…

I use to think female Worgan sounded like Marg Simpson.

Lol maybe try throwing a stick or a ball and see if they chase it.

Or maybe /punch (Which punches them in the shoulder, initiating combat!)

Mostly,by dialect the language has an accent that is distinct.

This is true, but remember not all Gilneans are worgen. So just cause they have that accent doesn’t mean they are worgen per say.

Other than that I guess you can argue with them and see if they change. They do have a temper.

What if they’re just a heavy smoker? Or a death knight lol

Just sniff them.

If they smell like a wet dog, it’s a worgen in human form.

Also you can probably be sure that person is a Worgen if they begin sniffing your crotch or backside.

they tend to do that according to the /sillys /flirts

This is true, and we’ve seen in a lot of quest dialogue that the transformation can be triggered by extreme emotions.
