How do you solo pull Anemonar in Nazjatar? Or do we need a nerf?

The steps are complicated.

  1. First pull Colossal Sky Ray up high far away from land, it requires glider kit and landing correctly or it resets (48.20, 65.35 above Newhome)
  2. Kite Colossal Sky Ray, bring it to Anemonar to activate. (58.6, 53.6 do you see the distance?!)

The problem is Colossal Sky Ray nearly oneshot me, 90% of HP.
I can’t survive. It hits even harder than any rares I have encountered.
Disc priest are hard to kill, you know? :rofl:

I suggest:

  1. let us use/loot something in the zone to pull Colossal Sky Ray, avoid using glider kit.
  2. nerf Colossal Sky Ray

I agree no reason it shouldn’t be the other elite Bloat Rays in there. Bliz made some really bad choices in Nazjatar.

Souldn’t require a engineering item to pull a rare. Or require a tank to taught and drag it the whole way.

I pull it down rather easily using Disengage. The problem is kiting. You need to dismiss your bodyguard. They will pull threat, and often cause it to reset.

You also need a tank or healer to kite it. You simply take too much damage as a dps to kite it, plain and simple.

You have to stay in range of it. This is a very close range. There are areas you can jump down in small steps. You need to take them. Don’t jump straight down. You will go out of range. Find the “steps” down. Take them. (They’re like, “mushroom” cropping) Like, if you’re heading toward the horde base, just go past it, towards the forest. They’re on the right.

I mean you dont have to pull it if you dont want to. its just a nice little extra. no reason it should be solo able. absolutely should not be nerfed

Not saying to be able to solo it, but remove the need for a glider, and someone with a taunt. You know…like every other rare in the game.

eh I think its cool. makes it like a little puzzle to solve how to spawn the tree. was for for me the first time

I couldn’t get it to not evade bug. I’m glad I only needed to kill the rare once, because I happened to stumble across another group kiting the colossal ray to the rare a while back. Probably never gonna kill Anemonar again.

Pulling it isn’t the issue. It deaggros randomly when you jump down.

I saw some paladin solo it. Get a tank friend.

I did it with my mage.
Got Colossal Sky Ray to around 30%, then other players started showing out of no where lol

As a fire mage, scorch kiting helped out a lot. Blink and nitro boosts as well.
I was kiting around Anemonar. If no one showed up, I was planning to kite till the Ray was almost dead then pop combustion and stand on top of the tree, iceblock right after cauterizer gets triggered and hopefully the dot would finish him off.

Solo pulled to tree as shadow priest sit on top of him and spam pain and just levitate down he follows you
