How do you right mouse click turn and use spells. I saw a streamer’s keybinds and there was a lot of shift f r e v c stuff like that can someone explain how to effectively use right mouse click turn and use spells. Thanks!
You press the button that corresponds to your action bar. In the default UI, this would be 1, 2, 3, etc… Mouse for turning and targetting, keyboard for movement and triggering abilities.
You can change the binds to whatever you like, and you can set up hot keys (MultiActionBar in the keybinds settings) to specific slots on certain action bars. This is likely what your streamers do. There are a lot of ways to configure this to your liking, I don’t think there’s any one particular way to do it.
For myself, I prefer the flexibility of the old school vanilla approach, giving me access to pretty much everything, just in a bit more complicated way. I do the following…
- On each action bar, slots 1-6 are my more critical abilities.
- On each action bar, I tend to group things together. For example, on bar 1, I put my main DPS rotation. On bar 2 I put general healing or movement abilities. On bar 3 I put cc/interrupt type abilities.
- I press shift+# to get to the appropriate action bar, then press the # corresponding to the slot.
- For CDs or things I want access to without using shift, I stuff them on bar 5 or 6 and bind them to things like shift+e, shift+x, shift+z, etc…
- For those CDs, I use weak auras, or put the abilities on the right-most half of my first action bar, to keep track of their cooldowns.
This is just what I’ve found to work for me. I encourage you to play and find something that works for you
I wish I could set it up like Diablo2. In D2 I’d press ‘s’ then click an icon on a matrix of large icons of spells. Once you click on your spells the large matrix disappears. I hate sniping on tiny icons on the edge of the screen all the time.
Use Opie. Set the pie to s, move your mouse in the right direction.
Using the mouse for turning only works if you have keybound all your abilities that you need in combat. Also if you have issues finding enough keyboard buttons toy can get mmo mice with up to 12 extra buttons on the side.
