I’m a bit fickle with character names and have found myself changing them from time to time when I realize people may be mistaking the pronunciation for something awful sounding. At least to my tastes.
I pronounce this name cor - TAH - jah but it makes me shiver to hear it pronounced corti - jah!
Howabout you? How do you pronounce your name and do people ever butcher it painfully?

One of my characters that I play (currently my main) has a “Ae” on the name like Aether, and people stutter so much with it that it’s easier for everyone in the guild to just call me by my IRL name lol.

My character’s name is pretty simple to pronounce… F-ran-kah. Just sounds differently then how it is spelt.
People miss the N. It’s Dawnson, not Dawson. Like Son-of-the-Dawn.

like thos games where they give you a word and you have five tries to get that word to a completely different word by changing one letter each time. except, I stink at it. lol
