I’m genuinely curious now, Does anyone still use their garrisons? I haven’t touched mine since WoD.
I only played WoD to get a core hound then quit so there’s actually a bunch about WoD that I’m completely oblivious on, I only found out yesterday that you can fly there now without an achievement. I’ve avoided draenor like the plague because I thought I couldn’t fly there lol
I adore my garrison! So much so that I did the speedrun unlock of it on my alt/sort-of-new-main. They’re just very chill vibes for me, I don’t have any need to rush through them (especially now that I got my apexis raven), and the amount of customization - while not a lot - is still nice enough to make my monkey brain happy.
I peruse my achievements, mounts, and pets (that I don’t have) and then I start working on whatever is needed to get it done if I am able to as a solo player. My social anxiety is through the roof, so I haven’t enjoyed raiding or dungeons in years, and I’ve kinda been sad about missing that content, but I’ve learned to entertain myself. I help my dad here and there when he logs on - he loves when I explain how things work and where things are, etc.

I’m a millennial and collector (started with baseball cards), so naturally I like to collect stuff in WoW. I enjoy collecting achievements, mounts, pets, and transmogs.
Since I haven’t been in current content since BFA, I’m looking forward to being able to keep up and potentially do some raiding this time around. And if there are any zones with group quests while grinding WCs, it’ll be more fun for me having others around to knock down elites.

While a pandaren in motion remains in Goldshire.
Multiple alt character leveling.
I don’t care about their gear, I just want those levels up where I can bring them anywhere, and run old dungeons on them.
Making them look awesome and transmogging them all to their fashionable best is also a bonus for me.
I enjoy bringing up those professions as well, might as well make a comfortable path way for those lower level alts on their way up.
Some people are grinding through the finishing zones. Me? I am off in my own little world, waving at other players as I go on about my fun.

I love my garrison. You can access your bank, gbank, void storage (who uses that?), and if you have all the parts, you can even have an auction house. It’s also where you can find Pepe if you don’t have the toy yet…so there’s that. It’s also a free hearth in a way with the garrison hearthstone. 20 min cd, and if you need to get to SW or Org, you just have to take a portal from your garrison to Stormshield and go through a portal there if your other two are on CD (assuming you have the legion Dalaran stone).

I was going to ask the same question. I made it to level 60 and now all things are locked behind confusing achievement walls. I can’t even do dungeons.
The portals are definitely nice; my lock has stables up right now for the mounts, but it’s still easy enough to use the portal just outside to head to Stormshield, then head to Stormwind from there.
I definitely got spoiled on my mage, though. It’s nice being able to portal anywhere I need to without having to spend time running around.
Honestly all I’d want at the garrison is a transmog station, and I’d basically never leave.

oh cool, thanks for the info.
I’m going to have to go back and do some WoD content, now that I know I can fly there there’s a ton of stuff I want to farm.

Log in, do mission table, do whatever callings are available for gold. Do the WB and grind Zul Gurub because Blood Lord Mandokir’s a jerk.
Raids and M+ are on hold for me until DF.
I like exploring. Wow has a lot of places to visit and sight-see and finding new pets to tame.

Yeah true enough. In this case, it’s literal fuzzy little house rabbits.
I sometimes forget just how open to interpretation certain statements can be…

GO FLASH GO!
GO FLASH GO!
GO FLASH GO!
You can either read that as Dale shouting, or as Klytus dryly repeating those lines.
I pretty much do a little of everything except M+, raiding, and PvP.
Chasing achieves is my very favorite activity.
Get yourself a yak, and you’re all set!
Edit: That’s the Grand Expedition Yak, if you don’t know. Comes with a repair and a transmog NPC. I believe it costs around 100k gold.

Yep, it’s on the to-do list one day! For now, I tend to abuse my friend’s yak.

My main activities are mount and mog farming. I also level alts and work on professions. I don’t engage in group content save the occasional world boss. I get enough stress from real life, I don’t need more from a video game.
