How Do You Play Wow?

All players play Wow as intended. But many have found ways to spend their time in special unique ways to play Wow on their own terms.

Some do professions and crafting. Some do over-world quests others do Mythic +.
Or actively exploring the world of Wow.

They are hunters that collect their fighting creatures getting some of the rarest pets in the game.

Yet others spend most of their time in their garrisons. Or spend time fishing. Or running Dungeons for Transmog gear.

Some Collect Battle Pets and roam the world doing pet battles.

Many are involved with guild activities and socializing.

Which are the ways you have found are the most entertaining and enjoyable for you?

I tune out the world, grab a bunny to sit in my lap, and get to questing and grinding.

N.B. I have multiple bunny syndrome, so I rotate through the gang; everybody gets some lap/WoW time.

-Crafting

-Gathering (for professions)

-Garrisons

-Heroic Dungeons

-LFR (Maybe…)

-Roleplay my own story so to speak

-Older expansion quest I have not done (yet)

That is pretty much it. Mythic+, PvP, and Raids I lost interest for after Shadowlands.

I play stories within the main story. All my characters have some sort of connection with each other, familial or otherwise. I like creating scenarios that I play out in-game, and those I can’t I write and illustrate for myself. I did a lot of that in Shadowlands as the story had good beginnings but very little depth.

Just logging relisting auctions, mission table. Check if any of the daily covenant missions line up so I can do it in one zone.

Then logging to beta checking the profession system , gold making opportunities out then logging off.

My gameplay will however change drastically when DF rolls out for at least a month

Let’s see…

  • I do story and expansion content with my main (Baz here) as well as exploration and overworld questing/world quests ect. May do this on some of my alts as well.

  • I am an altoholic, making characters with race/class combos I find thematic. (Only have 1 account though, but 60 character slots will be enough, but if I have em, why not use em, right? :stuck_out_tongue: )

  • I level my lats, mainly through exploration/question or running leveling dungeons with friends of mine.

  • Do a lot of transmog runs in old content or mount farming to add to my thematically made alts!

  • If I am in the mood I will fly around and collect mats and level professions.

  • I do some casual unrated BGs from time to time, mostly to get honor to buy more mog sets XD

  • Timewalking when it comes around. (again for mounts and mogs)

  • Might run the odd LFR but im not much of a fan of raiding.

That’s all I can think of right now, but I enjoy playing the game this way. I used to roleplay a lot but idk if Ill ever be in the mood to get back into that again.

M+ and casual raiding is where I get most of my fun, but that’s mainly due to the people I play with. My guild has a lot of chill, friendly people and the same goes for my key group, so I get a lot of enjoyment from the people as well as the content. I also enjoy healing and get a lot of fun from playing my healers.

I do enjoy some relaxing mog/mount/pet farming though, and recently I’ve had the urge to level some alts due to all the xp bonuses. I doubt they’ll see max level, but my old altoholic tendencies tend to come to light sometimes, lol.

Can’t say I do them often, but I also enjoy professions. I recently got my Monk’s Shadowlands LW up to max just for the fun of it and to have it maxed. I also went around a couple of months ago and tried collecting as much old tailoring patterns as I could just to have them, I did the same with my Druid’s Alchemy where I just went around collecting old recipes. I’m looking forward to seeing how Dragonflight professions will go.
I also get the fishing bug sometimes and I’ll log over to my Druid to see if I can ever get either one of those turtle mounts. :turtle:

I guess this also falls into the realm of pet collecting, but pet battling can be a good time as well. I only got into it maybe a month or so ago to build up my collection for the collector achievements, have not touched pvp pet battles at all.

The only things I don’t really touch are PvP and hardcore raiding.

i like trading and raiding.

One of my favourite things to do in WoW is to see how fast I can get from one end of a continent to the other end on foot. So far Eastern Kingdoms is the best for it cause it’s really the only continent with a strict end and beginning. It’s a lot faster on an Alliance character cause I can use the tram, whereas Horde has to go through several more zones. I dunno, but just hopping on my horse and riding from the bottom of EK to the top is always fun and calming.

Khoshek is usually busy building up his business interests. He works to increase his reputation with various factions, collects items to sell on the auction house, and occasionally sits back for a relaxing afternoon of fishing. Once he’s well-established and has the gold for it, he plans to help others where he finds they have needs, and may occasionally surprise someone with a gift as a reward for their helpfulness, kindness, or some other attribute he finds to be worthy of the Light.

Either that or he spends time organizing his closet full of tabards. No sense in building up a business if you can’t look tabulous doing it.

Godly.

Carefully.

Really though, I mostly just do my own thing now. Transmog farming or leveling alts. Daydreaming about roleplays that I’d probably enjoy but will never actually do. Debate on trying to make some friends and then deciding against it.

See, there’s this weird thing most people don’t know about. These hidden servers called “RP” servers.

No no, RP doesn’t stand for “Real Pizza” you silly monkey, it’s “Roleplaying”

I mean, what did you think the RP in MMORPG meant?

A little bit of everything, I guess.

I mostly PvP(hard to get into though) and run the occasionally mythic or rqid ifbthebopportunity presents itself.

… this could be taken a couple different ways… >.>

I mostly just level new characters. I spend more time on classic due to its slow leveling speed. For people who like leveling, vanilla classic is very good. Tbc/wotlk classic nerfed leveling. Retail is fast too but if you play chromie timewalking campaigns its fun. I just think its too fast. Once i hit lvl cap on a character, it basically becomes a mule for gold farming lol.
