you dont even look at your pet anymore it is like totally self sufficient and you don’t have to worry about clipping your shots especially with how often you shoot in tbc, in retail the biggest you have to learn is like not interrupting rapid fire or whatever not like that even matters

Yup having a 2.1 speed auto shot and not clipping them with your normal rotation along with going in for a melee swing or raptor strike in-between that 2.1 second period.
Along with managing your pet cuz unlike retail they die and die fast.

you can get a bot to play any class, but a bot would probably struggle doing melee weaving considering you need to play around where the boss is standing the amount of running in and out depends on the hitbox and pay attention to what is happening to the pet & your rotation changes depends on your haste
Some guy made a bot of an Ele sham on Retail and got it to 3k MMR before it got banned which is p good and involves way more RNG elements than a 20 yr old Classic boss.
Technology is giga advanced now, botting that specific task would be peanuts compared to what they can bot these days.

that’s probably true I know people had a program to do the running in and out for them which was the hardest part. wotlk hunter is still pretty annoying to play because your dmg is completely centered around explosive trap and the trap hitboxes are extremely terrible you have to be right inside the boss to get it off & in wotlk you still can’t shoot when you’re too close unlike in retail

The only good thing about Cata is that hunters mana gets removed in the pre patch and replaced with focus and Blizard did it terribly, so they become super overpowered in PvP in any battleground.
Booms become super powerful too, fury warriors do. Ele shams still are.
that video is 2 years old and despite how great vanilla classic was especially at the beginning, those days are done. maybe in 10 years people will want to play it again and we’ll have a month of glory again
