How do you pay for WoW?

With the recent ovbious exodus from the game i got curious, how do you pay for WoW?
i FEEL like if we still HAD to use $$$ and not gold, the player base would be even smaller, i know i havent paid FIAT dollars for this crap in almost a year
This is a wildstar thing, basically FTP WoW has become in hopes of staying alive it seems : /

Tokens, this game isn’t worth real money anymore. But I can’t even be bothered to grind for gold now so my sub is up inside of a week. This game isn’t fun anymore, I’m not sticking around. Already have three other games to play that ARE fun.

Everybody pays with cash. A WoW token just means someone bought the time for you.

this argument irks me. yes as far as bliz is concerned a sub is sub is a sub and a token adds a little profit to the mix.

but I do not spend MY money on it

You spend your time, which is also money.

on the contrary I find farming herbs relaxing… put on some music and go… its great when I just want to mindlessly do something

I pay for my sub the old fashion way I guess. Thinking about adding another account, prolly should do tokens for that one.

Agreed. I’m relatively poor in-game, and I don’t have enough play time available to me to make it worth it to earn the money to pay with tokens each month.

um ok? that makes no sense to me haha
i pay with GOLD, thats it thats all. noone buys my gold for me, i grind it, which is easy and fun , more fun then PLAYING the content haha

I would love to start boxing toons, but the new crap is not an incentive. My friend pays for wow and my wow tokens. I can play GW2 as far as that matter goes. I don’t HAVE to play wow. If my friend doesn’t resub in 13 days then the likelihood I will is meh. We can just play Stellaris or something. At least with the sub cost we save we can buy pizza…

I pay with money for the sub. I’d rather use the gold I earn in game from selling pots and flasks for buying mounts.

Get bored and play the auction house for a week, fund the game for six months - repeat.

I pay cash for it and I willing to bet most people pay cash. People that use tokens still has someone paying cash for them to play on the back end.
